What's on your Wednesday Menu RNyers?

Good afternoon!

My menu looks much like yesterday. Protein shake, ff greek yogurt with a bit of raisin bran mixed in (yay for bran!!!), homemade ground beef/cabbage soup, cottage cheese with unsweetened blueberry applesauce, and supper will likely be the soup again. Not likely having an evening snack, maybe a , just a decaf coffee and a long walk.

I've added hot sauce - not Frank's, something much more um...adventurous...but not too much. It's called Magnum 357, and you've got to be really careful with it. I've had it for years, because you have to use it sparingly. REAL sparingly. The clinic doc and nutritionists cleared hot sauces well before the 6 month mark, but they said it's more all about tolerance than anything, and when used by a "normal person" it's just fine to spice things up a tad. Being a pepper-head my whole life, I tolerate it quite well but I'm not psychotic with pushing any envelope on it. So far it's been just fine and added that bit of zing to a select few dishes.

qotd - My birthday falls near Christmas, so I don't really do anything special for it. Growing up, I got the ol' "This is your Christmas AND your birthday present" combination. A lot of people say that must have sucked, but when you don't really know the difference, it's not so bad. My wife and kids make more of a big deal of my "seasoning" than I do. My present is usually a pair of concert tickets, or to a hockey game. Honestly, I could celebrate my birthday with no present and be content with just knowing that they're happy, safe, and well loved, but the hockey tickets are nice lol. I take my Dad to see an NHL game when that happens (my wife doesn't like sports).

I've never been much of a cake guy, the only real request I've always done that might prove tough this year, is for my mom or my sister to replicate my great-grandma's apple pie and put a candle in it. With this WLS, I think that tradition will end but I have a sneaky suspicion that a pie will still be made. My interest in it doesn't go beyond a bite, and that's a huge maybe (but doubtful). I don't dump, but I don't like the rough feeling that sometimes happens with something off-menu. My daughter is an apple pie fanatic like me, and she will "take one for the team" and eat mine for me :)

Good afternoon all.... Teena you are looking good lady............

Had a wonderful time at Fenway last night... My dad had tears in his eyes and my husband was very excited and he does not show emotion over things very often so I mark this trip a success... Food wise I did really well I had 1/2 glass of wine before went into the park with a 1/4 of a piece of buffalo chicken tender. In the park I did great and did not have the Fenway sack I was planning on and ate 1/2 a fenway frank without the bun...

QOTD: I have always hated my birthday so celebrating has never been on my list of fun things to do. Even as a child my parents would have to fight with me in order to get me to have a party. I used to say its my birthday aren't I supposed to have things my way? So usually we go out for dinner and that is it. The only person I will allow to buy me a card is my grandmother because I am not going to say no to my grandmother.

Food for the day:

B: hardboiled egg white and yogurt at hotel

L: cheeseburger without bun

D: meetballs with sauce and cheese

Have a greet evening.

Below are a couple of pictures from last night....

Hello everyone,

Accountibility: I was on plan 100% yesterday and even ate a little more in calories and protein. Not so much today though. I found out my uncle in Philadelphia passed away this morning and so I haven't had much of an appetite.

I may not be very active over the next week with traveling and planning. I will at least try to check in on the menu boards.

D: 3oz tuna, 2 tsp mayo, 1/2C onion soup(just broth and a little bit of onion)

S: ostrim meat stick

Cals:509, Carbs:6, Protein:57

Enjoy the rest of your night everybody!
