She did have a revision that was supposed to fix the issue but she never lost any weight after that so I am not sure.

QOTD: I knew of someone at work that had it, she was a size 6 but smoked like a chimney and that to me was a no no according to my surgeon. Another person I knew of was super MO before and was still overweight after. I think she regained some so I suppose in some eyes wasn't 'successful'. I was bound and determined to not be in either of those camps. I also initially thought, I can't give up pasta, bread etc. Like you can't have your cake and eat it too and thought I couldn't handle that. mmmmm cake... Now I make the cakes but really don't eat them. MAybe one bite :)

We lost power at 8:30 last night and still am out. Had to haul ass to Panera about 20 minutes away to work. Luckily the internet works here and there are ass loads of people here working so I'm not the only one. yay. Have 3 more conference calls today that I HAVE to be on and able to share my screen for because I'm leading (my projects) so I will continue.

Food

up in the air today. I snuc****d coffee and cottage cheese into panera. ordered my 'free bagel' everyday in september. I take them home and give them to the chickens lol

I also brought some protein powder for later.

also- depends how long power is out. DH is icing the re-fridge food and plugging in freezer into generator so we can save our precious precious food lol

Accountability: UNDER calories yesterday and no 'bad' foods- giving it a few more days then will weigh

I love going to Panera to work--I usually just get a tea or coffee and set up shop. I haven't been since I started working on my diet though, I'm worried the temptations would be too much, but I'm finding it difficult to get into a focused mindset when I work from home (trying to write a novel)

I go to panerra all the time. The secret is to not look at the pasteries as you walk by. After awhile you won't even care about them. I too go there to write...like you can't focus at home. Nancy

Good morning JB and everyone! I am soooo outta sorts lately, just not feeling myself. Hopefully everything will work itself out and things will get back to normal.

Accountability - Had a few extra BLT's yesterday - enough to be up a pound today. It's a new day.

QOTD - My sister had VSG 6 mo before me. She lost 70 pounds in 6 mo and as far as I know has maintained, but not lost anymore. She doesn't follow the rules as I know them. We don't discuss weight anymore, it's a touchy subject that I avoid like the plague. Other than OH, I don't know anyone.

9 mo post op - 177 - ugh

b-coffee and coffee, HB eggs

l-meatloaf

d-chicken

v/l - on track

Have a good day everyone!

Morning!

Accountabilty: great! But lately I've been having bizarre dreams about food. Mostly bread, chips and salsa, and chocolate cake. I keep going off plan in my dreams and then I wake up in the morning feeling guilty for eating crap. But of course I didn't really eat any of it! Weird haha. Thank God dream calories don't count.

QUOTD: when I first started the process of getting surgery I only knew a second cousin who had lapband. She would eat a whole pie and shockingly somehow gained all her weight back. But while I was in the process of my 6 month diet for VSG (later changed to rny) I met a girl in my dorm who had VSG when she was only 15. She loved ur and had lost 150lbs but was still probably around 300lbs. But again, she ate around her surgery. She would eat lots of Mcdonalds and ice cream.

Menu: It's a "I'm not feeling food" day so I may do a puréed and liquid day.

M1: 1/2 syntrax vanilla torte mixed with coffee

M2. Chicken broth and cottage cheese

M3. 1/2 cup of squash soup

M4. Chicken broth

M4. Maybe a little cream cheese for some healthy fats. Topped with TJ'sbagel seasoning

another 1/2 Syntrax tea throughout the day.

V: did patches last night but keep forgetting additional iron tablet. I need to bring that upstairs so I can take it before bed.

E: boot camp!

Hello Menu Folks,

Being back at school with a new schedule and routine has made it difficult to post on the menu thread lately but I actually have some time right now.

QOTD: My cousin and brother in-law had bipass surgery many years ago. My cousin gained all of her weight back and she is SMO. My brother in-law gained some back but has kept quite a lot off. The surgery was very different when they both had it and I"m not sure what the differences were.

Accountability: I'm doing ok, but this new schedule is whipping my butt and I'm going higher in calorie than I like and not getting to the gym. I'm hoping I can settle in soon. I didn't have this kind of struggle last school year and I'm not certain why I'm so exhausted this year. Trying to give myself time to adjust but it's taking too long.

Good afternoon,

Im feeling human today. Think I'm caught up on my sleep.

Accountability I had cantaloupe instead of watermelon. Had an extra serving of it.

Qotd lots of my family had it starting in the late 70's. They would do good in the beginning, had complications and had to be reversed. Then they have something different do good then overeat and gained their weight back. That is why my dad was scared for me to have wls but now he is proud of me. That is why I went for the sleeve not as invasive as what my family had. My niece had rny after me but she likes to drink alcohol so she hasn't done good. My nephew girlfriend had the sleeve and did good. My nephew is in the process of getting the sleeve.

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

L tuna, cottage cheese and cantaloupe

S sf French vanilla ice coffee

D sirloin pork chop, green beans and cantaloupe

Have a good day

Morning/afternoon everyone :)

I'm in a field office today, so my schedule is all wonky!

QOTD: My ex sister in law had RNY 15 years ago. From what I've seen on Facebook she's doing well. She did have some regain from her original low, but she's still in a healthy weight category... and she doesn't eat well at all. According to my daughter she is battling RH issues, but I imagine it's from not eating right. A guy in my old neighborhood had some kind of WLS, but I don't know which one... it's been about 5 years now and he's still looking great in his pictures. Another friend had a band placed 10 years ago, it went bad and she had to have it removed, then had ANOTHER band placed 4 years ago... she loves her band and is tiny! She somehow manages to stay tiny by starving herself all week, then eating like crap on the weekends... I don't know how she does it, but she does... and she lost nearly 200 pounds with the band. Crazy, she totally defies the statisitics. There's a lady on my floor at work, and another co worker told me she had WLS, but she apparently gained it all back, but according to what I heard she never hit goal to begin with.

Weight this morning 138.2 16 months out.

B: 2 hard boiled eggs made into salad with mayo and EBTB seasoning (no cottage cheese at home, yikes!)

L: 2/3 of a burger with cheddar/bacon 2 onion rings... no bun

S: Leftover burger from lunch

D: Taco Tuesday! making both chicken and ground beef, will have measured amount of meat with the fixings, sans the tortilla
