What's on your Tuesday menu, RNYer?
Good morning all! I'm off today and tomorrow.. Today we are shipping off to Boston with my dad we are going to the Red Sox game tonight. Sitting in the monster seats. My dad and husband are pretty excited. Me I found out its Bruins night I'm pretty excited for that.
QOTD: I have a couple of co-workers who actually had WLS and a family friend. I saw the success they had with it and decided to attend the informational meeting. I guess you can say the rest is history. Since my surgery I have had one family friend who has had it but other than that no one that I know of.
My food for the day:
B: Coffee with premier and bacon
L: deli meat
S: yogurt
D: Fenway frank without the bun
S: not going to lie there will be a Fenway snack in there somewhere...
Have a great day everyone....
Good morning JB and menu folks! It is another beautiful day here, cool but lovely.
QOTD: My sister had RNY 14 years ago, but she hasn't followed a good plan and has gained all of her weight back. Some of her co-morbidities are still gone though so that is good. I have a friend who had surgery about a year ago and she was my final motivation to go through with surgery. She is doing well thus far though I worry about her since she is young and not particularly committed to exercise and good eating.
Menu:
Breakfast: scrambled eggs, turkey sausage
Snack: Lemonade protein shake
Lunch: salmon, baby carrots
Snack: 2 oz turkey breast
Dinner: Turkey breast, kale salad
HW: 248+, SW (RNY: 2/28/17): 244, GW (10/17): 125; LW: 115; 45# regain (19-20); CW: 135.6; new goal: 135; Plastics: Ext mastopexy, Ext abdominoplasty-5/18/2018; diagnosed w/ gastroparesis 11/20.
Good morning menu friends! Today is 8 months since surgery and I'm at 182.5. My slowest month for weightloss but overall I've lost 112.4 lbs overall and almost 100 since surgery. So I have to say I am happy with my progress. I have my 6 month check up with my centre on Monday- yes they are that far behind. I also had to cancel my dietician appointment (it was on a different day) because I will be out of town for work. They told me there are no more appointments for the rest of the year so I will see the dietician at my 1 year checkup. I'm ok with that. The dieticians at our centre are very pro carb so I don't feel like I'm missing much.
QOTD- when I was a child I lived in an apartment building. 2 of the tenants had weightloss surgery. I was already chubby and it really stayed with me. 1 of them didn't lose any weight and I can picture her sitting in the back courtyard in her lawn chair eating chips and drinking pop. The man lost all his excess weight and I also remember quite vividly passing him in the hall one day after he had finished a run. There was also a couple (the wife worked with my husband) who both had surgery about 1-2 years before I did. I can honestly say that WLS was in my mind for a long time but she motivated me to pursue it. She has kept most of her weight off but her husband hasn't.
Sorry for the novel!
