B12 and Folic Acid
My iron is low and in my conversation with the hematologist, I asked about folic acid. She said I shouldn't have to take it unless I'm on B12 shots. My surgery was almost 11 years ago and they didn't mention I should take folic acid, too.
So, what's the scoop from you "newbies"? Is it now recommended to add folic acid to our vitamin regimen?
I know my B12 I get from Trader Joe's has folic acid in it. Not sure what the specific folic acid recommendations are.

After 11 years, the only iortant thing is what your actual B12 and folic acid levels are. I like my folic acid in the upper part of the range, and B12 well above it.
I take B12 sublinguals. I have never needed folic acid beyond what is in my multi.
