Beef?

I was eating beef in my puree stage...pureed steak, pureed stew, even pureed meatballs with sauce. I had no problem with it.

Once I was able to eat solid foods, I was OK with steak but only if it was a very tender steak. The only time I had issues was when I reheated it in the microwave; I need to reheat in the frying pan, with a bit of butter (just a dab in a no stick pan).

I'm OK with beef normally, but I've been sick for 2 weeks with a flu/allergies/asthma, and I tried to have a burger patty this week and one bite made me nauseated. I'm 7 months out now and I normally love beef but this week I can't even stand the thought of it.

No raw veggies yet for me either. Beef - we'll see - I think I will buy a small amount of super thinly sliced roast beef at the deli and try that first, but I will wait for quite a while to have a filet or hamburger.

I eat this almost every day for one of my meals. I like mine with brown mustard all over it.

I'm a mustard fan too! My favorite is this one (they really should have cleaned up this photo digitally before they posted it!):

My son thinks I'm a little mustard obsessed. I do have my own shelf in the fridge.

I haven't had any issues with any foods until Labor day weekend when my pouch decided it didn't like potatoes. I don't buy beef at the store, but I ate burger patties before I was three months out. I have venison at home, and introduced it early. Ground venison and ground chicken were both non-events to me.

My diet has a lot of active cultures in it - mostly yogurt but also fresh cheeses and fermented veggies. I think it's possible that is helping me?

I have had venison several times. It tends to be very low in fat, which can make for a tougher meat. Maybe grinding it helps? Fermented veggies reportedly have several health benefits, but I haven't personally tried them. Thanks for your response!
