I hear you Lishamc1, like cowdoc I have my surgery on Tuesday. You've got , just keep yourself occupied and think of what awaits you on the other side. HEALTH!

I agree with Liz as well. You got this! I was scared as hell too but I realized afterwards it was no where near what I made it up to be in my mind.

As everyone has already said, you will be fine. My honey couldn't get any the time off to care for me either and I was just fine. As some have said - being alone was preferable, no pressure and I was able to relax and rest. The unknown is scary, but the reality is easier to deal with than what thoughts you are contending with at this point! Soon, it will be but a blur...You got this!

It will be ok. I just did this 2 weeks ago and after a few days, it's ok. Take all your pain meds whether you think you need them or not. Sleep, sip fluids and take small walks throughout the day. I did not need anyone with me.

Our WLS support group has a member who, by choice, got dropped off at the door and picked up at the door by her husband. She has done well. SO WILL YOU.
