I am thinking of my friends in Miami and coastal South Carolina today. I sincerely hope that those of you in the path of Irma the Beast will err on the side of caution! Be safe.
I was an art major in college, too. I love working in oils, watercolors, pastels, colored pencils...everything really except for acrylics, which dry too fast for me. I also really enjoy digital painting, using Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. The digital stuff is a significant part of my job.
I like to write, too, though I'm not a novelist, I'm better at shorter bursts. At one point I was a copywriter. I also love playing piano, and long (really long) ago I was in a band. I like writing music.
I co-majored in theater, but dropped that pretty early. I felt I didn't have thick enough skin for that life, you have to be very tough.
It was hard for me to focus on one thing when it came to preparing for the working world, because I always deeply enjoyed several, and this delayed my career development. I found it very hard to choose just one path.
First: cappuccino protein drink
B: 2 oz. BBQ pulled chicken
L: going to give tuna another try, last time it didn't sit at all well.
D: 1.6 oz. ham with 0.4 oz cheddar
Have a beautiful day everyone!
Good Morning and happy Fri-yay! So tired today and have tons to day which I hope means that the day will go by fast and since we don't have many plans for the weekend I hope to get in some rest and relaxation time. Sorry they didn't have your class-that stinks but glad you got some time in the water.
QOTD: I like to crochet but don't spend enough time on it and want to finish a blanket I have been working on.

L: Albacore tuna lettuce wraps and baby carrots

D:2 scrambled egg with shredded cheddar, 2 sausage links, cottage cheese and SF chocolate pudding made with Fairlife topped with cool-whip

Popping in super quick Work is killing me but I hate being MIA from the menu thread!
QOTD: Once Upon a Time, I used to be creative. I use to consider myself a book artist... Now I spend that time commuting. Sorry for the city party--I am having a hell of a week.
Dinner is TBD.
My pic is of our kitten who was "living the dream" while guarding all the crappy food we had put aside for a cookout last weekend. I want to roll around on a table filled with chips and cookies! Ah, the life of a cat...
Good morning menu crew!
It's a nice day here although the temps are a bit cooler than I'd like but my thoughts are definitely with friends and family (including my menu crew of course!) in the path of Irma- and also the earthquake in Mexico.
QOTD - I've started painting furniture and I'm quite enjoying it. I'm still learning all the different techniques, so I think I'm going to get some scrap wood to practice on. I'd love to paint and sell a few pieces. My pic of the day is the newest addition to our living room. I bought the table at the local flea market for $7 - I wish I had taken a before picture of it. I'm very happy with how it has turned out. I need to do a progress pic but the closest I have is the family picture my SIL took last weekend before she went back to PA.
Menu:
B: Protein shake
L: It's a no lunch day so my friend and I are going to take a walk up to Whole Foods and see what protein forward options they have.
D: We are going to my in-laws and I'm not sure what's on the menu. I'm thinking probably a roast chicken. We had that at home last night, but I don't mind eating it again. For some reason, chicken is one of the harder things for me to eat, but it also fills me up really well.
W: This morning I'm at 183.2- my lowest weight and down 1.3 since yesterday. Hoping it sticks- 4 days until my 8 month surgiversary, and I've only lost 6 lbs so far this month but 111 overall, so I am pleased with my progress.
My exercise will be the walk to Whole Foods.
RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
