Good morning everyone. Crazy stuff here in the Portland area. Horrible wild fires ranging about 1-1/2 hours east and it is causing horrible smokey skies here and ash is falling all over us. It looks like it is snowing. If you know this area, it has reached the Multnomah Falls area. It feels like when Mt St. Helen's erupted. I-84 ( the primary freeway that heads East-West) is closed, and people are being evacuated. The pictures are horrifying. I've lived in this area my whole life and I have never seen anything like it. Certainly nothing this close to Portland, and so much impact to populated areas.
Some of my brothers and their families went to SunRiver in Centeal Oregon for the holiday. They had to go through an area where another wild fire is burning. They had to be led through by fire fighters via caravans of 20 cars at a time. They said the fire was burning on both sides of the highway. So scary and no end in sight.
I felt pretty yucky yesterday with stomach cramps. Not sure if it is a bug, or a little food poisoning. I am feeling better, but I am going to keep it light today.
QOTD: In the car, I listen primarily to the music off my phone or satellite radio. In the house, a radio station called KINK. I am a classic rocker girl and love The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, The Beatles, The Who, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, Dylan, Pink Floyd...you get the idea. Also classical if I need to chill out.
2 years, 10 mo post op:
B: Premier Protein
S: cottage cheese
L: turkey burger if I can stomach it
D: some kind of soup
Not a great protein profile, but my tummy is just not up to it. Have a great day everyone, and pray for rain for the wild fire areas.

We are in the Gorge. This is scary stuff. The fire is a few miles from us. We are ready to evacuate if needed. I am trying not to panic. This fire is so bad!!
I wish there was a "dislike" button. I am so sorry. Please be safe. This fire is moving so fast it is terrifying. My thoughts are with you, and I am doing a rain dance (no lightening) for you and your neighbors.
