Good morning! DH is off today but his work has him on call so we will start the day at the gym and then walking the dogs (hopefully uninterrupted by work calls), then on to who knows what. I kind of want to go shopping but I know that he will not be into that hahaha.

QOTD: I have yet to finish another book. I've been rereading one by my favorite author but I keep picking it up and putting it down. The last book I read is called "Beautiful You" by Chuck Palahniuk. I LOVE his books! He has such a twisted sense of humor and I just can't get enough of it. I think I've read every single book of his thus far. I also really like Jen Lancaster, she's got a great sense of humor, sarcastic and witty lol! Her book "Such a Pretty Fat" is a must.

B: unsweetened coconut milk with caramel macchiato syntrax powder

L: leftover tofu "wings" with greek yogurt blue cheese dip

D: leftover ground turkey cheddar cauliflower casserole (it's a little calorie heavy so I'll add more turkey to it so stretch out the calories and make it more protein rich)

S: veggies, maybe greek light and fit, maybe some parmesan whisps

V: patches

E: 5k on the treadmill, 40 min dog walk

Hope everyone had a nice weekend and is enjoying the extra day off if they have it off :)

Good morning, and happy Labor Day to the US members! I started off my day with a delightful sleep-in, which was much needed. I spent Saturday and Sunday back in my hometown, which isn't far from where I currently live. I do photography as a side-gig and had a high school senior portrait session booked, and it went really well, he wanted his pictures done in a local state park, and we did a lot of hiking/trekking out to various locations within the park, which was great for my exercise, but the rest of the weekend...well...

Accountability: I ate like someone who was happily maintaining at 300+ lbs. There was "walking tacos" or "taco in a bag" at a 5 year old's birthday party, along with birthday cake. My mom had a cookout, and I had steak and veggies, but also cheesy potatoes, and strawberries with angel food cake for dessert. There was also a buffet with my brother last night before I drove home that I can't even talk about. Weighed this morning and naturally, my weight was up. Why did I sabotage myself???

QotD: I LOVE READING. I read constantly, and often have more than one book going at a time. Most recently was The Last Tudor by Phillipa Gregory. I love the Tudor era, and the War of the Roses leading up to it. I have many non-fiction books about the people and history of the era also. I love Phillipa Gregory because she is a historian as well as fiction author, and her books are extremely well researched and feature prominent women of the era who are often overlooked by history, and what their stories may have been while living in the shadows of kings and lords.

Plan for today is to carb detox and drink as much water as I can possibly hold. I'm sure some of that regain was water weight from the sodium and carb spike.

Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs with cheese, 2 chicken maple breakfast sausages, decaf

Lunch: tuna packet, celery sticks with cream cheese and Everything But the Bagel seasoning

Dinner: 4 oz salmon filet, spinach salad with sugar-free balsamic vinaigrette

I have string cheese in the fridge if I feel I need a snack, but I'm hoping I'll stay busy enough today to not want one.

Howdy from GA!

QOTD; I have tons of books, but alas I don't read anymore. Due to Sjogrens and Lupus, my eye tear quality has deteriorated and since I am already on the internet all day because of my two businesses doing research for customers, I just don't feel like I want to strain my eyes at night. My husband is always pushing audio books but I also don't drive anywhere because I work from home.

Food for the day:

Woke up late so off to late start on everything

Brunch: egg beaters and 2 OZ of ham and sprinkle cheese 21 grams protein 150 calories

Mid afternoon protein (maybe a protein pancake?) 10 grams protein 50 calories

dinner: some form of meat and green beans 21 grams protein 150 calories

Snack: Unsure but maybe yogurt with protein powder 17 grams protein 110 calories

64 ounces crystal lite less than 600 calories and less then 10 grams carbs

Babs in GA

Hi everybody..happy labor day....I am a big reader...my mother took me to the library at least s couple of days a week starting when I was 2 or 3. So, of course I was an English major in college and grad school. Basically I'll read anything. I just finished "Robert Lowell: setting the river on fire" a biography by Kay redfield Jamieson. Excellent biography of Lowell and his life and work in relation to his mental illness. She explores the relationship of bipolar disorder and creativity. Very interesting and engrossing. I have a personal interest as I am bipolar myself.

I'm having problems with being too full...it's water and meds not food. I basically hate my meds!

B. Protein drink with coffee

L. Cottage cheese and ketchup

S. Yogurt

D. Cooking s spaghetti squash... Will do something with it with chicken, cheese, and tomatoes.

Have a great rest of the day.

Nancy

I can't handle taking meds with jus****er. I've varied it over the years. Right now it's almond milk. Never dairy since it interacts with one of my meds.

Also add stuff to tha****er - crystal light, decaf tea,mio...amything to change it helps me ge****er down.

Seattledeb: thanks for the advice. Maybe I can take some of my meds with my morning protein drink with coffee. Thanks again! Nancy

Just make sure you know of any foods or drinks that interfere with your medication and it's absorption.
