What's on your Saturday menu RNYers?
Morning Weekenders!!
Fall is definitely in the air here! Hoping to play tourist in Quebec City today, and it sounds like the weather will cooperate!
qotd: if you could play tourist for the day, where would you like to go? Explore your own city? Something near by?
I love visiting small towns and exploring. That used to include hitting any and every bakery I could find, but now I'm more likely to seek out the local butcher shop or deli hahaha
accountability: I would say meh. The day was fine, butvrushed and left work early and didn't really have much to eat and we hit some traffic on the drive to quebec, so just ate in the car, which meant the day was : protein shakes and protein bar, decaf coffee, sunflower seeds and jerky .
Menu:
B: premier and coffee
L/D: no idea, but will be protein forward. Unless we get to the Ile d'Orleans, a farming community that often has road side stands selling freshly boiled corn on the cob. Then all bets are off!

Good morning weekenders! This is a cool rainy day so it is rather fall-ish here too.
We are headed to see my parents for the day, so I don't have much idea about food or exercise. I may hit the treadmill when we get home though for a short walk.
Accountability: we went out to eat last night for dinner and I had blackened snapper (rather than shrimp). It was really good and a true treat.
Menu:
Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 oz ham
Snack: Premier Protein shake
Lunch: I don't know what my mom is going to make, but I insisted on some kind of meat.
Dinner: leftover snapper
Exercise: short walk on the treadmill?

Good morning :)
Our plans for today changed last minute so we are going to DH's mother's farm for the day. I will take lots of food with me because we never know what we will get up there... It is always food from the farm, but it isn't usually palatable (e.g. there is no salt... Ever). Thank you surgery for giving me an excuse to eat my own food.
Accountability: I was good right up until bedtime when I had peanut butter. At least I shared with the dogs, right?
QOTD: right now I want to play tourist in my own home... We've been gone so much this summer I just want to find a routine and stick to it. However, there are a million places on my travel list. I'd love to see the east coast of Canada or the states. Northern Ireland and Hawaii are at the top as well. I haven't been to Ottawa in a billion years either...
Post-op two years, five months.
Breakfast - protein shake
Snack - turkey pepperoni
Lunch - I'm taking turkey sausage as back-up
Snack - cheese whisps, nuts
Dinner - tbd again
Snack - protein shake
All water and vits.

Good Saturday Morning! I couldn't be more happy to have this 3 day weekend. For the first time in at least 2 months I have nothing to do today! We are having a big cookout on Monday and then Grim's sister is coming to stay with us for a week, so I will probably out some time into cleaning, but maybe we can go on an adventure today! I love adventures... which leads me perfectly to the QOTD :) I really like exploring. My parents used to go on day trips to random places without looking it up ahead of time or having any plan. Some of the best days were when we just are open to finding someplace interesting. I am not quite as carefree--I need to at least have a few options before we get somewhere, but I love going to new places! I do not understand people who go on vacation just to sit on a beach or to watch tv in another city. I want to see all the things!
Accountability: I had some unplanned wine and m&ms while playing Cards Against Humanity last night. I regret nothing ;)
Today's plan:
Curious: I notice that your daily goal is 1189. Why not 1100 or 1200 (or 1150 even)?

I entered my stats into the website" if it fits your macros" and this is the number it spit back to me. I have not really hit those numbers too often but it feel very high. I think I need to edit MFP to be more realistic, again.
Interesting! I just checked it out.

I had to play around with calories for awhile to figure out what keeps me in my acceptable weight range. If I go over 1700-ish too many days in a row, my weight starts creeping up, so I keep my average around 1700. I don't really pay much attention to those calorie calculators anymore because they often estimate too high or too low for me.
Good morning!
QOTD: I could not list all the cities I wish I could play tourist in. But, I think I've said before somewhere here that I'd be a nomad if I could. Most recently we got a chance to play tourist locally in Lake Placid, NY. Even though it's only about 90 minutes from us, I had never done it before. It's a very quaint little town and it was a nice day. Locally, I also love to walk around Ottawa (Byward Market!), Montreal, and Church Street in Burlington, VT. I have avoided Ottawa so far post-surgery only because I have an association with French pastries that needs to go away, haha! In my new found ability to hike, I have been researching a potential vacation to Glacier National Park in Montana too.

Good morning all!! It has been a busy past few days and I have not had chance to post. We are in DC visiting our daughter. Yesterday we took care of the unfun stuff and took her for her blood draw. Last night we took her and and bunch of her friends to dinner and an escape room. It was Titanic themed. It was so fun... Today we are supposed to have a white house tour but I am not sure if I put the correct address on the paperwork so I will see if we get in. Then we are going to the was museum. Since it is going to rain most of the day tonight we are going shopping and maybe to the movies. But we are going to have so much fun!
QOTD: I would choose to go to Australia I have always wanted to go there. Someday maybe.
Food: Breakfast is the only food I know because breakfast is included with our room so I will have bacon and eggs. The rest of the day I will just try and make it protein forward as much as possible...
Have a great day friends!
