Happy Friday! First consult went well yesterday, I'm down 5 lbs from my monthly appointment 2 weeks ago, and the nutritionist is extremely pleased that I'm already eating like someone who has had RNY (at least for the most part), but wants me to eat 5 servings of vegetables per day. I feel like that's a lot! But I'll give it a go. I already have a salad with dinner most nights. I should have asked what constitutes a serving. A half cup? A whole cup? Her reasoning is that she likes people to nutrient-load on their way into surgery, and they see less malnourishment post-op if they go into it with higher numbers. I do also take a regular multi.

The other shock was that I'm listed in their network chart as being a type "1.5" diabetic. This diagnosis was from a doctor I saw one time at a point I was not doing so well managing my blood sugars. Basically, according to their network, I'm an adult-onset type 1, not a type 2. So I need to be re-tested and diagnosed "for the record" and the results may determine which surgery I have. I'm gunning for RNY of course, but since I plan on becoming pregnant later, the NP I spoke with was pushing for VSG. But if I have type 2, they prefer the RNY.

If I have VSG, will I have to switch boards? lol I like this one now!

qotd: I remember I was on my trampoline and my mom came out and told me, and was upset. I had no idea who she was at the time. I was 11.

accountability: made poor fast-food choice while I was out and about yesterday. Ate at Taco John's, 2 hardshell tacos and a churro. Did an extra mile on the treadmill last night and only had a protein shake for dinner

breakfast: 3 chicken sausage and a Greek L&F

snack: celery sticks with PB

lunch: leftover turkey meatloaf

snack: syntrax wild grape

dinner: unknown, but will include a salad

Forgot this: I got this top for $1 at a thrift store :) jeans on the bottom, and sneakers. We're semi-Casual at work, meaning we can wear jeans and sneakers, buyback tops have to be professional.
