OH ate my post! ok quickly then. Ate at whole foods, they have a pay by pound situation. Got to try beef barbocoa last night for the first time plus a few bites of a plaintain dish and carnitas with green beans. had 1/2 leftover also. Went to my bargain store last night here- ann taylor pants new for $1.00, New new taylor jacket for $2. their summer is all $2 or less! IT is called bargain HUNT and there may be one in your area. you DO HAVE to dig a bit and have patience so if you can't do that then don't go lol.

QOTD: I take a long time to get mad then i say my feelings and try to get over it but it takes longer to get over... Before surgery I would not confront my feelings or say how I feel, now this is not the case, however I have learned to pull back the reigns a bit on not making an issue on everything. My DH is the exact opposite, he throws or kicks something and yells and about 15 min later he is fine.He does have a lot of patience - obviously he lives with me :)

I had a night eating episode last night but it was different. sitting down eating versus standing in front of pantry eating whatever i saw, so improvement there.

Food for today:

egg white omlet

panera chicken on greens/steak/cheese sammy no bread

decaf

regular

miralax

dinner with MUTE!! yippie

Good morning menu peeps. It's a beautiful one here in Illinois and Lily and I have our 3.7 miles in and will do another mile after supper. We love our walks which is a huge change since I had surgery. Accountability was great with no extra bites taken yesterday. Today we are cooking for the seniors here in town and I'm getting my baking fix by making them Carmel apple dump cake to go with their pulled pork. I can't taste but confess I love the smell of apples baking. Good 5 year visit with the PA for my surgeon yesterday. I weighed 120.4 on their scale which was almost exactly where I've been for the last 4 years. She agreed that I should start some additional iron as my ferritin is heading downward. I'm glad she agreed because on advice of some of you smart vets I had already started taking it! All other labs were perfect. Biggest NSV ever was I parked on the farthest edge of the lot, briskly walked in,found the steps and ran up three flights to their office--and could still talk when I got there. Post op 5 years and weight at 118.2 today (before I'm dressed). Here's the food plan for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli turkey and cheese and 1/2 tomato diced D 31/2 oz baked chicken thigh 1/2 c broccoli S 5 oz Greek yogurt with 1 T granola for crunch,. QOTD it takes a lot to make me mad but you DON'T want to be there when it happens. Have a great day everyone and make some smart and conscious choices that move you one step closer to your goals! Later!

Good morning!! I agree, this week is crawling.... at least it's hump day. My honey is home for 2 days - another split week in Bay area, so 2 trips this week again...ugh. Still looking for a local position and it can't come soon enough! Wedding planning has started and although I have never been one of those girls that dreamed about getting married or a wedding, I am having fun. My dream was to just elope - Vegas/Elvis style - seriously! But, I really want my dad there, especially since my mom can't be. Super small and simple, but special is the plan.

Accountability - 100% on plan - dinner got stuck or didn't agree so I made that go away quick...I couldn't stand it.

QOTD - Ha, I am just like you Daisy, only we call it flash pissed! I'm nice nice nice, then in an instant, I'm not not not. I can go off in a second, spout crap, obscenities, maybe a gesture or two then come back down like it never happened. Rob very rarely gets mad, but when he does, it takes him a while to come around.

9 mo post op - 180 - boo

b- coffee w/HC and splenda, SB iced coffee w/half and half and splenda, HB eggs

l-chicken w/a little green enchilada sauce

d- ham steak

v/l - on track

e-cardio/weights

Have a great day!!

Good morning, Daisy and menu folks! Another cold and bleh day here, I can feel winter creeping in already :(

Accountability: didn't actually track annnnything after 1;00pm on MFP yesterday but I think I did pretty darn good anyway. I will not be shying away from my tracker though! I'd be lost without it.

QOTD: I guess it depends on the situation. Sometimes I am quick to snap into anger if I'm already wearing thin about something else. I'm usually over being angry pretty quick but there are times when I have to put myself in a time out so that I can cool down. Hubby is usually pretty mellow. Sometimes he gets frustrated with me and my silly shenanigans (I can't help myself, I love messing with him. It's all harmless and out of love and fun. In my defense, he always has a smile on his face even when he's laughing about getting frustrated with me). He rarely gets angry so when that happens I know to give him space.

B: quarter piece of sugar free protein cake, syntrax shake

L: ground turkey with carne asada seasoning. (sounds weird but it's pretty good)

D: leftover chicken sausage and zoodles with red sauce and a pinch of shredded parmesan

S: greek L&F, veggies with roasted red pepper hummus

V: patches

E: busting my hump at work today so I won't be home till late. going to be on my feet all day so hopefully that'll be enough moving for me. Planning to do squats and ab work when I get home though.

Have an awesome day!

Hi all,

Often when I've gotten mad in the past I have regretted my outbursts. I have lost friendships over angry exchanges before. In general I regret most those times when I didn't show how much I loved those I love. I have outgrown my younger self's flashy redheaded temper. I prefer to stick up for myself and others when necessary without a big and offended ego. We are all struggling in various ways here on earth, so I try to see the good in others and myself and cut us all a break. I am lucky in that most everyone in my ken now is pretty great!

First: Cinnamon PP in strong black tea with a little almond/cashew milk

B: 2 oz. Greek yogurt a 1/2 serving protein powder mixed in

L: 2 oz. Ham off the bone/cheddar

D: 2 oz. Chicken thigh

S: frozen Crystal Light popsicle

Yesterday I hit 60 pounds down, yay!

B. Protein drink and coffee

L. Cottage cheese and ketchup

S. Cheese stick and wedge of cheese

D. Hamburger and stewed tomatoes

NSV: put my bariatric rollator in storage. Can now use and sit down on a standard rollator! Also (I don't know if I already told you) my friend picked me up in a Morris minor....a little car...I got right in and fastened my seatbelt and was able to get out! Before surgery I couldn't fit in a car could only take paratransit. To celebrate I'm going to take a train trip this winter to Florida. I'll fit!

Have a great day.... Nancy
