Hi Menu Crew! How is everyone? I am great! Is it only Wednesday? Seems like a long week already.
Accountability: 100% on plan!! - switched out dinner to turkey & cheese roll ups
QOTD: When you get mad are you a flash mad, deal with it and move on or do you take a while to get mad and then when you do get mad its a boiling point? I am a flash mad kind of person, I can be mad in the moment, deal with it (i.e. yell, swear, slam a cupboard or two etc) and then I am done and I move on and forget about it. My husband is the total opposite. He has a slow boil and when he does get mad its kind of scary because this calm comes over him and his voice gets all serious and uses the "Boss" voice. For those of you who know him he is the most easy going, laid back always laughing kind of guy so for him to get mad its very out of character, I am lucky he rarely gets mad!

Good morning Daisy and the menu folks! After a rainy day, this morning is cool and pretty. I would love to take a long outdoor walk at lunch, but I have my 6-month appointment with my surgeon today, so that is up in the air.
QOTD: I can have flash anger sometimes over the strangest things. I try to stay calm, especially in traffic, but sometimes it just flashes.
Menu:
Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 pieces turkey bacon
Snack: Lemonade protein shake
Lunch: pork loin, baby carrots
Snack: 2 oz turkey breast
Dinner: salmon, cauliflower
Exercise: long walk

Good morning!
QOTD: Oh, I'm a flash mad person. My kids know that better than anyone, I think. I can be yelling about the mess all over the family room one minute and asking them to go for ice cream the next. My mother was the same way though and I loved her plenty, so I figure I'm not damaging them too badly, right? RIGHT?! My husband is the scary calm kind of mad, but he's rarely angry. Very easy going, very laid back. He has to compliment my quick temper. He's gotten shorter with the kids as they've gotten older and they push buttons and I've told him oh no! You aren't allowed to be the grumpy one! That's all me! MINE!

Happy Wednesday! It is rainy and somewhat windy here in Nantucket but not nearly as windy as had been predicted. The rain is supposed to stop by mid morning.
THANK YOU everyone for the happy anniversary wishes! We had a good day yesterday and though our sailing was cancelled we went to a shipwreck museum DH had wanted to see. The pictures below (also posted in VSG support group) give a flavor for Nantucket cottages on the pier, cobblestone streets on town and the stately old homes lining the streets in town.
QOTD: I am mostly a flash anger person, though sometimes something will make me keep simmering for a while. DH is fairly similar.
B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese
L: roast deli turkey
D: Leftover scallops (back at home)
S: yogurt

Love Nantucket! Have you ever been to the annual Santa Stroll there? I have some friends who go every year and it is on my bucket list!
Yes once, but didn't know what was going on (why there were so many people in santa costumes - LOL). The Whaling Museum is filled with decorated Christmas trees and has entertainment one late afternoon as well.
