What's on your menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?
Hi everyone :)
It's been a while since I've been on here! Bad habits, and too much going on I guess! I need to get back in sync with myself, and being here is on my list of To Do things! LOL
QOTD: I just spent last weekend scrubbing down our house! LOL We have over 3000 sq feet and most of it is tile... I pulled out the steam cleaner and went to town... wiped down all the woodwork, scrubbed the baseboards,etc. Things like this don't happen every week unfortunately. I do get things dusted/swept/vacuumed every week, but the deep cleaning is far less often. So probably once a month I get more serious on a Saturday or Sunday and spend the day doing something. Fortunately the dishes and trash are done by the kids, their rooms/laundry/bathroom are done by them (and I have to really work hard not to cringe when I go in there because their definition of clean and my definition of clean are two different animals). This weekend we are having my husband's 50th birthday party, and we'll have out of town guests, so I have to get everything done this week - so it can all be messed up in two days!
Accountability: Last night I decided I needed a couple of handfuls of tortilla chips after my EGD I had... makes no sense, but for some reason being on liquids all morning and then nothing by mouth from noon until 4pm, I let myself. Sigh. No bueno.
B: 24ounces of decaf with 3 ounces of fairlife milk

Good morning, menu folks! Today's my Sunday so I've got to scramble and get all the things done I was planning to take care of before heading back to work.. So many errands to run! I have a 10am massage appointment with my friend and I'm looking forward to it so much but I know that I won't want to do anything on my to-do list once the massage is over and I'm finally all relaxed. Just gonna have to put my big girl pants on and power through the day!
Accountability: Stayed pretty close to my menu but didn't get all of my 100oz water in and ate too many almonds at the end of the day.
QOTD: Funny you should ask, Daisy! Today's my weekly cleaning day. I usually do one big sweep through the house and do laundry all on the same day. My biggest problem right now is the huge pile of clothes that still sits in my bedroom and keeps getting scattered around, it needs to be donated. I will be boxing it all up today and taking it to Goodwill sometime this week. What a difference that will make!

E: squats and abs. My backside is getting saggier and saggier the more I lose. Any suggestions to help remedy this would be welcomed with open arms.

Good morning everyone! I had a great day yesterday. I received a few pieces of really good news. One was that my mom's gravestone had finally been set. So, I skipped the gym to head over and visit after work. I was the one in charge of designing and ordering it and I'd been having the worst anxiety about it. Like their names being spelled wrong, the wrong date, the photo wouldn't look clear or that it just wouldn't be worthy... It was beautiful so glad I went.
QOTD - We clean the carpets every few months so we usually do a fairly good cleaning then, but usually its just whatever is needed. We have 3 dogs and a cat, two of them don't shed, but the other 2 shed enough for all 4 so it's a constant dust/sweep/mop/vacuum deal.
Accountability - 100%!

QOTD: We keep up with the daily stuff like dishes and laundry then clean the house on the weekend.

I'm still trying to wake up. I had a bad dream and fell asleep on the couch. At 6:30 I went to bed until my friend woke me up at 11 am.
Accountability had ice cream.
QOTD I usually clean a little bit at a time unless I need my apt clean for special occasion.

hi guys...a rainy day today. Not great for those of us with arthritis. As far as clesning goes...i tend to put it off. Every once in awhile i watch an episode of horders to scare myself straight. Lol.

Happy Afternoon!
Today was a crazy day. I had my official 4 month post op appointment up in Chicago this morning. So I had a class, drove to my appointment and now I'm heading back for my night class.
My 4month post op went great! My BMI is 32, down from my original 48. When I get out of the obese and into the overweight catogory I may just cry. I'm letter of the law when it comes to following my plan. Low carb, high fat, and high protein. So far I don't "cheat" and I fully intend on staying that way. I'm know once I open the door to old favorite foods, it will be a slippery slope for me.
Anyway, even with last months stricture hiccups, I would still do this in a heart beat. My surgeon is amazing, and it feels great to make him proud. It makes me smile ear to ear when he high fives me and tells me I'm kicking *ss. Haha
QUOTD: I'm ashamed to admit this, but when I live at home (normally just summers) my goddess of a mother does a lot of the cleaning. I still do my unspoken chores that I've done since childhood, that are just ingrained at this point.
When I live on campus, I just have one room. My sweet roommate is obsessive about our room being clean so I clean it ever Wednesday and Saturday afternoon. But even then, I'm still a *****aotic and messy.
Menu:
Weird day since I traveled to Chicago.
- Syntrax iced tea.
- I had the chicken broth from chicken noodle soup at the hospital's cafe. Tasty but not very much.
- Cottage cheese (1 cup)
- I might make some egg drop soup (2 cups of broth, 1 egg) and eat half and save the other half for a evening snack.
So bad news, my doctor shut down my love affair with Crystal Light Lemonade because of the Citric Acid. He said any other CL was okay except that one since I've already had ulcers. Apparently the acid can make them worse. Sad day. Time to start taste testing other CL and Mio flavors.
