Came on here to post an hour and a half ago, but then got a phone call.

QOTD: My question/goal is unraveling the mysteries of this RNY walk. I am trying to frame it as a positive- "What do I need to do to nourish my body?" Because it is my body with my challenges so it may be different for me than you. As in right now trying to add some carbs to help with building lean muscle.

Then in the -You can't make this stuff up- category. Friday after my final exercise at the gym, I get up and think oh I can feel my belly button, and it feels weird. Which the fact that you can say you feel your bellybutton is weird enough in itself. Now realizing I have a reconstructed one and felt slightly distended I Felt it and I felt very hard underneath. Mental panic of course, I sent a message to Dr. M, he said to ice it, take Motrin - I took Tylenol, and it was probably just scar tissue that I had stretched m/ moved or something. He doubled this far out I did anything serious. So while it is slightly better than that day, basically I've gone from having an innie to an outie.... I have a doctors appointment for my PCP to look at it, and hoping she'll order a CAT scan just to rule out me giving myself an umbilical hernia.

M1: latte w/Fairlife/miralax/mct oil.

M2: Bulgar Wheat with 1TBS peanut butter. Tried adding half a scoop protein powder - made taste yucky

M3: turkey and cheese roll-ups

M4: baked not fried eggplant rollatini/parmigiana (means added Ricotta for some protein)

S: protein drink or bar tbd, passion tea w/coconut milk, trail mix

ex: not today

Happy Monday, crew! Sorry that I fell out of the round up over the weekend. I was so busy getting things done and then halfway through the day I figured it was just too late. I stayed pretty well on track though. Nothing from the unapproved list but went a little over my calorie limits on Saturday because we went to a party for the McGreggor/Mayweather fight and there was food EVERYWHERE! I made very healthy choices and did not reach for the ginger molasses cookies haha.

QOTD: I have several goals to accomplish by the end of the year. I'm trying to figure out which ones I should stretch into next year because some of them are a bit of a challenge to make happen. It's not that I'm not up for the fight to get there, it's more because I have to ask for time off to make one of the goals happen and I don't know that I have enough time off days left to do it. Before mid 2018 for sure though!!! I will work on the more realistic goals in the meantime.

B: caramel macchiato syntrax w/coconut milk

L: ground turkey taco bowl

D: leftover chicken sausage

S: greek L&F, laughing cow wedge, veggies and hummus maybe

V: Patches

E: squats and crunches until I die haha

Hope everyone had an amazing weekend!

Haha yeah, I thought about that after I had already posted

my big goal is to go to the Landmark Forum (hopefully in Seattle or Portland). The forum is supposed to be life changing and everyone I know that has gone says it is ahhhmazing! My boss has just recently gone too and she fully supports me going but I don't think I have very many vacation days left this year. Plus I'm in the process of getting hubby onboard to go with. I think it would be so good for him and for us. He's kind of skeptical though and I can't blame him. If I didn't know so many people that have already gone then I think I'd be skeptical also.

my second goal is to get to goal weight, hopefully I can pull it off. Was supposed to weigh today but I'm too scared to get on the scale even though I've been eating very low carb etc.

Third goal is to run to my grandma's house from my house, have a visit and run back OR leave my bike in her garage so I can bike back instead of run. It would be about 6 miles total I think.

Fourth goal is to climb flattop again. The rocky part and the top of the mountain is terrifying but it's soooooo beautiful up there and you feel like a champion who is literally on top of the world haha. If I do it, I will take pictures and share them on one of the photo Fridays.

Fifth goal is to save $5,000. I'm giving myself till February though so this one doesn't really count. I could go on and on about all my different goals! My biggest problem is follow through. I need to write them all down in order of importance and figure out the best way to make them happen. It's hard when you're the world's best procrastinator..

Good morning. Accountability sucked yesterday. I had a handful of chips and homemade guacamole, 2 potatoes with dinner and a chocolate chip cookie. I've got to get myself back under control.

DQOTD: Like you, Daisy, I have issues with mind/body connection and comparing myself to others. I'm thinking of taking a break from the menu posts because reading how little people eat, and seeing how much smaller they are than I am (and I should be seriously tiny at 5') is really bad for my psyche. I physically can't eat less than I do, but mentally I beat myself up every.single.day. That's where my eating came from yesterday. I'm so tired of eating 100% on plan and not getting where I think I need to be. I just said "screw it" and I ate. I also can't follow a lot of the advice here. Cut 500 cal a day if you want to lose 1 lb a week. That's great, but I legit eat 900-1000 a day. 3 years out, at my activity level, I just can't survive on 500 cal a day . . . so there it is. Anyway, this is an ongoing project for me, and I don't think I'll be done by 12/31!

My plan:

B: 4.2 oz chicken thigh meat

L: 4 oz salmon (I think. We have a new attorney starting and will be taking her to lunch. Hopefully we go where I can get the salmon salad. If not, I'll just drink water/tea and have lunch when I get back to the office. I have 4 oz steak with me

D: Skirt steak on the grill

S: SF latte, yogurt if need be, but probably not. I was going to run after work, but it's going to be hovering around 105 today and it may be too hot.

With my RH and PPI Rx for gerd- if I ate what some people on here eat - I would die. That's why I don't post my menu. I often don't eat enough, but I have my "making up for that days".
