That doesn't change. I wear a 0/2. I'll look at my pants when I'm folding laundry and think how huge they look, particularly in the butt area. The mental side of this process is a killer.

Glad to know it's not just me. I just assumed I would be happier with the smaller size but it's so much more than that. In my head, they may as well be a size 24. So weird.

Hello!

My weekend was mostly good. I went to a local festival with my family, which was really fun. My immediate family is really close, and I love spending time with my folks.

Yesterday was a bit hairy, as my grandma, who is 93, became unresponsive. My grandma is a terrible woman who abused my dad in just evil ways for years, so it's hard for me to have a lot of empathy for her. But my dad is a saint and has show her forgiveness, love, compassion, and even provides for her financially. So my heart hurts for him right now.

QUOTD: I have so many goals. One is to get a better sleep schedule. I want to be a early to bed early to rise person. I also really want to grow financially responsible. I live with my parents right now, but in December I'm renting a house with 3 other friends and I want to be able to feel secure in my budget and money skills, And lastly, I want to get better at my French.

Menu:

  1. 1/2 cup ricotta bake
  2. Roadside Lemonade protein shake
  3. Two 1/2 cup servings pureed cottage cheese through out day
  4. 1 cup of bone broth

E; think I'll swim some laps after classes

V: I'm going to put my Patches on later since they're no****er proof and need to be on 8 hours.

Sorry to hear that you have to watch your dad hurt.

Hi!

I had a great week off. I was supposed to be vacationing in Quebec at a cottage (building a deck and shed in that week), but I wound up staying home. My wife couldn't take the time off, which is a bummer but that's the way it goes. I helped out at my church's vacation bible school instead, by being a crew leader to 5 very energetic boys ranging from kindergarten to grade 5. Needless to say, I'm glad I am approximately 100 lbs lighter than this time last year. I was able to keep up to the little minions for 3 hours a day, and it was a fun week for all.

Unfortunately, I felt the start of a summer cold coming on last weekend, and it progressed through the week to what I've got now. The headache is pretty well gone now (it stopped after I finished the week with the kids....imagine that), but the sinuses are still cycling through being plugged and draining at the worst possible moment. The cough is VERY inconvenient, and has caused rough sleep for a few nights now. Lots of rattling in my chest. I'm just hunkering down in my office at work though, and keeping my distance from everyone.

I'll make it, but this man-cold is brutal. Somebody call my mom.

My professional goal is just to advance within my organization the best I can. I would like to go back to school, but I've got other priorities (providing for my family, putting my kids through school when they get to that point) so I'm seeking out as many opportunities as I can at the moment to further myself if possible. Personally, I just want to hit my weight goal I set for myself a year ago. I'm almost there, and I should hit it by Thanksgiving. If I can hit it and another 15-20 pounds by New Years' Eve, I'll be happy but I'll be happy anyway because of what's already happened. One thing I want to learn how to better handle, are questions and compliments. Right now I am still kinda vague, and just give a weird "Thanks" when I receive a compliment. Still feels awkward to me, and my fat-brain is still very much there. It's a challenge to undo the mental side of things when the physical side is so much faster.

Menu: Protein shakes for breakfast and lunch, cottage cheese/blueberries for morning snack, FF greek plain yogurt and blueberries for afternoon snack, and likely turkey soup for supper. My wife makes THE BEST soups. After phase 1 I thought I'd never eat soup again, but here I am loving it. Mainly because it's loaded up with turkey.

All vitamins, water etc. haven't been a problem, though sometimes I forget when I'm on vacation doing other things and take them at weird times. Now that I'm back to work, the routine is back on track with them.

Exercise: 11 km walk round trip to work and home, plus probably a walk or bike ride tonight after supper. Trying to focus on cardio.

Thanks! I'm hoping that the coughing here at my desk doesn't cause the coworkers to grab the torch and pitchforks and get me outta here. I've got an iron-man thing going with sick days. LOL

Remember, no matter where you go.......there you are.

I usually do too, but this year I had to use a week for my PS so it's not a big deal this year I guess.

Hi Everyone

My weekend was very nice but busy as I had to work all day yesterday. Today and tomorrow are my last days of vacation so I intend on enjoying them.

Acountability: Everything was good meal and snack wise this weekend. I'm a bit backed up and it's causing some discomfort. Not something I usually have to deal with but I'm taking miralax and hoping it will give relief.

QOTD: Good question..... I think I'm asserting myself now way more than I did when I was heavier. I think in most situations that is a good thing but I also think I need to work on keeping it in check. I'm finding myself snapping a lot especially with a co worker whom I've always given in to and I'm just not willing to do that anymore. Now that I have the confidence to allow my thoughts and opinions known I have to be aware of not being too harsh but still get my point across.
