Good morning! Monday again! My weekend was good--super busy on Saturday, but we bummed around the house in our pajamas yesterday.

I'm really trying to give up caffeine before the end of the year, which will also be the end of my 6 month evaluation (as long as all the specialist appointments work out). I've mostly switched to decaf, and soda isn't a problem. I gave it up years ago. But Monday mornings I still go through the SB drive through for a skinny latte with an extra shot or two. So...by end of year I want to be able to remember DECAF even when I order from SB.

accountability: I was doing fantastic yesterday, but I waited too long to start supper, my sugars dropped and I inhaled a slice of toast with PB. The toast is at least a low-carb variety with protein added, but It was calories I didn't want.

today: 2 scrambled eggs with 1 oz of ham and a slice of cheese

lunch: tuna packet, string cheese, dill pickle spear

snack: Greek L&F

dinner: unsure, maybe shrimp

working late 4 days this week to make up a few hours so I don't have to take a full day of PTO for Thursday--surgical consult and psych evaluation!

Why are you giving up caffeine? Is it bothering your guts? Religious reasons?

I gave up soda per my endocrinologist orders, not that I drank much to begin with. But I do hit the coffee pretty hard! Our surgeon prefers no caffeine starting at least 30 days prior to surgery and would prefer us caffeine free afterwards too, so I just figured I'd wean off it while I was in my 6 month evaluation phase. I use kcups, and all I have are decaf, but I still order from SB 1-2 times a week

Hi Guys,

Hopefully back to a more normal schedule this week. Since I worked the last 3 Saturdays in a row I treated myself into going in 2 hours late today. Not exactly a 1:1 trade off, but it felt decadent to wake up when I am already usually at school!

QOTD: I have some work goals, and haven't really thought about personal goals. But yeah--mental health goals around body image should definitely be on the list.

B: Fit Frappe Mocha Protein Coffee

S: Salami & Cheese roll up

L: Grilled Chicken with red sauce

S: Greek Yogurt w/ protein powder

D: tbd--probably either steak or sausage

Praying for all of our friends in TX!

I will say, as a (mostly) newbie when I was pre-op and only reading here, I saw both you and DD2 as so tiny and successful! I always thought there is no way I can ever be their size and I was pretty jealous!

Thanks Erin. It's such a stupid head game. I look at pics from when I weighed 125 and was feeling awesome and compare them to pics of me now at 118, and I see a fatter girl in today's pics. I know it's not "real" and I AM proud of my success, but this surgery sure did a number on my self-image. It's weird.

We can never be good enough, can we? I was so happy for our family photos 6 weeks ago and now I look at those pictures and identify that I like myself more now, down another 6lbs. Then I get terrified, because what if I can't maintain this low and I have to go back up those 6lbs? Will I stop loving myself? Then there's the whole working out thing. Right now I love lifting weights, but what if I don't always love it and that muscle becomes fat and I stay the same weight or lose weight but I'm bigger?

Don't even get me started on the fact that I'm supposed to be maintaining and I keep losing and there's a (not tiny part) of my brain that just loves that.

Good morning menu friends.

I didn't get a chance to post this weekend I was at the campground all weekend. My niece and great niece came and stayed with me on Saturday, we had a good time and got several walks in over the weekend.

Accountability: I completely stuck to plan on Friday and Saturday, but Sunday I ended up with more calories and carbs than I like to have. It was a rely long day for me though. I was up by 7:30 am and will be up t 6:30 am this morning with the exception of a three hour nap, so when I factor in how long my day was it probably wasn't that bad of an eating day.

QOTD: Before the end of the year I want to have an exercise schedule in place. I would also like to change my job within the company. I have tried to post out twice, but was not successful. I hope to be successful before the end of the year.

I did not get a picture taken of me over the weekend as I had hoped to. I will try to get one done this week.

Today's menu:

B1 - 1/2 Scoop protein powder, SF creamer, Iced coffee

B2 - Emiepie's egg salad

L - Spinach salad, 2.8 oz. Shredded Chicken, Salsa

D - 3.9 oz. Shrimp w/ ****tail sauce, Button mushrooms w/ laughing cow wedge

S - 2.2 oz. Smoked Salmon

S2 - Tuna pouch, Light baby bel cheese

Calories - 668, Protein - 106, Carbs - 20

Have a great weekend everyone!!
