What's on your menu today (Monday) RNYers?
Morning!
We had a great weekend actually. Perfect weather, good mix of fun and adulting hahah
this week should be busy at work, but I don't think it will be bananas. I'm taking Wednesday off to take care of my nephew. Expect a barrage of photos!
qotd: Indeed I do. My goal has been to become more fiscally responsible. And while it really sucked, I made a budget last night and over the next month, I will see how realistic it is, and to catch expenses I missed. It's pretty aggressive, but if we can stick to it a year, we'll be in a good place.
Also, I only started this job in march, but Im starting to lay the ground work for more responsibility, and a significant salary increase. Hope to have that in place before the year is out. I was not happy with the offer they made me when my temp contract was up, and negociatedvancincrease from that and they agreed to revisit in 3 months.
accountability: on point
menu:
B:premier and coffee
L: tuna and veggies
D: ground beef somehow. Burgers or taco meat most likely

Budgets are definitely painful. Not only making them, but then measuring against them. I did one in preparation for retirement (to assess what we needed to live on), but I have a nagging fear that it wasn't realistic enough. I am counting on my old skills of living within lower means kicking back in when needed. I have had quite a few times over the years when there wasn't mu*****ome as I was a very young divorced Mom in my early twenties, we had a few years when our second child came when I didn't work, and then I left my job for a year when my oldest DD was sick.

DD2, You are tiny and beautiful (and apparently quite fit). Though it would be nice (for all of us) if we could eat more calories at least you know 100% how to maintain. Perhaps those really thin people only cheat when you see them (and compensate at other times). OR maybe they have higher metabolisms! My SIL is the former (will eat more at times but probably eats close to the calories I do on average). DH is the latter - he can eat quite a lot and still weigh 170 (6'2").
QOTD: My goal of course is retirement by the end of the year. With that I hope I will also gain more patience with DH, as stress and lack of time tends to equate with less of it. I definitely need more time to do things with him as just getting ready to go somewhere takes him twice as long as it used to.
DH and I are going to Nantucket for 3 days today (once I get him moving). Looks like great weather today, okay tomorrow and unsure on Wednesday. We are coming back Wednesday anyway, so if it is rainy we will just come back early in the day.
17 months post-op (maintenance), 67 or less workdays to retirement.
B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese
L: deli roast turkey
D: ? (Out to dinner, but protein forward)
S: protein bar

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!
I had a good weekend. I'm enjoying having my daughter, Saralisa back home from Ireland.
QOTD: I have two projects I want to be working on. I don't know if either one will be finished by Dec. 31st or not, though. 1. I have a "Write & Illustrate your own book kit" and want to make a children's book based on a story I made up for Saralisa when she was a little girl. I've been afraid to start on it because I don't want to ruin it, so I've been putting of doing it. I just need to DO IT. 2. I need to sell the many collectibles I've accumulated so that my daughter isn't stuck with them when something happens to me someday. This project will definitely not be done by Dec. 31st, but I need to get started on it.
Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 71, Calories 1,010, Carbs - 104.
B: Prosciutto & mozzarella sticks
L: chicken stir fry
D: hamburger patty with melted cheese
S: light & fit Greek yogurt
E: Walking the dogs around the subdivision
Have a FANTASTIC day everyone!
