Good morning everyone. A nice couch day yesterday and I'm feeling better today. I binge watched House of Cards most of the day. Still have a few episodes to go - love that show!!! watched the fight last night also. I was rooting for McGregor and he fought really well. I can't stand Mayweather. Today is more of the same, getting ready for the coming week, finish watching House of Cards and then Game of Thrones series finale is tonight - I can't stand it, I'm dying over here!!!

accountability - for some reason dinner took so long - we used hard wood charcoal....I picked and grazed which I never do and have no idea how much I actually ate but I know it was too much. Mind you it was only my coleslaw, pork chops and chicken, but still..... I HAVE GOT to exchange my empty propane tank already be because dinner taking almost 3 hours from start to finish is ridiculous.

QOTD - I have lots of smells I love -coffee, crispy cool fall, apple, leaves burning, wood burning, snow - yes it has a smell - especially once you come in from it... I love fresh cut grass, the salty ocean, laundry... I could go on. Oh Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas tree also.

9 mo post op - 180 today -no surprised

b- coffee and more coffee - eggs

l- bbq chicken

d-pork chop

v/l on track

e- walking the pups

Have a great day all

Hi Amy, if it took a long time for the hardwood charcoal to be ready it might have absorbed some moisture from humidity. That would take a while for it to dry out and get nice and hot. That has happened to me before.

Hello menu friends,

I am having a lazy day today and am planning on watching movies on Netflix. I'll probably get a walk in later if the rain holds off; if not, I'll likely go to the mall and walk inside.

QOTD: I love so many smells, but many of my old favourites now just drive me mad (fresh baked bread, baked goods of any kind, pizza, etc.). I love the smell of fresh cut grass and lilacs in the spring, roses in the summer, apples on the tree and fall leaves on the ground in the fall, the clean air and lake water at camp (the lake smells great, so clean and fresh). I love how great it smells to be out on the nature trails, in the woods, any time of year.

Accountability: had a hungry day yesterday and had a pepperette and babybel cheese extra as snacks. It put my calories up a bit more than I'd like but brought my protein up to 80 grams.

Breakfast: Plain Greek yogurt with blueberries.

Lunch: 1 egg omelette with cheese OR pepperette with cheese string; not sure.

Supper: Steak on the BBQ

Snacks: Strawberries, babybel light cheese, 3 baby dill pickles

Pre-Op Visit: Jan. 10, 2017, weight 304, surgeon: Dr. David Lindsay, St. Joe's, Toronto

1st Day of (3 weeks worth of) Optifast: Jan. 11, 2017

Surgery Date: Feb. 1st, 2017

Hello everyone,

I went to see my sick uncle in Philly yesterday. Over 10 hrs of driving because of traffic but so worth the trip! I'm really glad I got to see him.

QOTD: I love the smell of burning hickory wood when I'm smoking meat.

Accountability:stayed 100% on plan yesterday. I packed all my food for the day in a cooler.

B:2eggs, turkey breakfast sausage, slice of cheese

Rest of the TBD but it will protein forward

Enjoy the rest of your day everybody!

Thank you Librarian! It was a trip that I had to make. I'm so thankful that I got to visit with him before it might have been too late. If I had not had the surgery last year and lost weight there is no way I could have done it.
