What's on your Sunday menu RNYers?
Morning!
loved reading everyone's NSVs! Had a great day yesterday:lazy morning, productive afternoon, social evening!
today is a day to get ready for the week. Might see if my siblings are interested in coming for dinner, but we'll play it by ear.
qotd: last night, friends were talking about fall being in the air, and it got me wondering...Do you have a favourite smell? Mine is in the summer, heading to the farm and rolling down the windows and smelling fresh cut hay.
Another is when making stuffing for turkey, we saute onions in butter, salt, pepper and an herb called savoury. The best.
And in the fall, I love when it's crisp and my husband comes into the house and you can literally smell the fresh air on him.
accountability: fine, but protein was on the low end.
menu:
B: coffee and premier
L/D:,no idea might make ribs?
happy Sunday all!

Good morning weekenders!
Yesterday was a miserable day with seemingly everything going wrong. Today is a new day and I hope to be more on plan and to have a better day. It started early though and I am doing a few hours of telework today for OT. Not fun, but not as bad as having to go into the office.
QOTD: I have something wrong with my olfactory nerves and I really don't have a sense of smell. It also means that my enjoyment of food is off. Oh well.
Accountability: Not good yesterday.
Menu:
Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 pieces turkey bacon
Snack: Grape protein shake
Lunch: pork loin, pickled carrots
Snack: 2 oz turkey breast
Dinner: filet mignon, riced cauliflower
Exercise: long walk

Good morning! I'm on here way early because my cat bit my nose to tell me she needed to be fed immediately at 6:30 am! Not a problem on work days, but come on, cat! Let mama sleep in!
yesterday was busy busy, breakfast meeting for my side gig, thrifting, and went to the gym . Today we are having what we call "no pants day." Which means we plan on staying in our pajamas and not leaving the house. However, I'll probably go outside and garden a bit, so pants should probably be worn ;)
*ETA QOTD*: lilacs, fresh mown grass, pine, rain, most pumpkin/caramel/spicy things in the fall
accountability: yesterday was good, and I didn't have the halo top I planned on, so I might have it tonight during the Game of Thrones season finale
breakfast: making omelettes--ham and cheese, maybe some veggies
lunch: maybe I'll try the sample of unjury chicken soup I ordered? If not, then I still have some BBQ chicken thigh in the fridge
dinner: bourbon marinated salmon, I might fix a salad with mine.
snack: halo top!
Hello friends... Happy Sunday.. Well yesterday turned into a busier day than planned. My plan was to just tidy the house but some how it turned into what my husband and daughter refer to a psycho clean. But at least the house is sparkly and clean I love walking into the house and it smelling clean. Today I need to go grocery shopping and gather up the list of stuff my daughter sent and prepping food for the short week three days this week yippee!!
QOTD: I love fall and spring and I agree with you Erin the smell of fresh cut hay is great but I love the smell of an apple pie baking (can't stand the taste of anything cooked apple but love the smell) and all the other fall smells.

Have a great day everyone!

Quick post as I need to head to church here in a couple minutes to get music marked and coffee made. Overslept but Lily and I still got our 3.7 miles in and I'll walk a bit over a mile to church. We'll also do another mile after supper. QOTD favorite smell is crisp fall air and cinnamon raisin bread baking. Accountability was good but I switched out supper with 2 small pieces of thin crust pizza. Post op 5 years Tuesday and weight at 118 today. Here's the food plan for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli turkey and cheese and 1/2 sliced tomatoes D 31/2 oz shrimp 1/2 c green beans S 5 oz cottage cheese with 1 T no sugar preserves. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices that move you one step closer to your goal!
headed out to the yoga & meditation studio in a bit with DH - first for coffee (they have a cafe at the studio), then to "Sunday Morning Meditation". I have a committee meeting later on this afternoon, then hopefully Aqua Zumba if the meeting wraps up in time. Also hope to make a Jamaican stew in my Instant Pot sometime today (not sure where I'll squeeze that in - may have to do it later tonight or tomorrow night..)
weight up again today. I think I've discovered a pattern - I think it might be the salt content in TJ's Chili Lime seasoning. It seems every time I use it, the next morning I'm up a pound or two, even when I come in under my calorie allotment. Sometimes I have the weight issues on days when I eat other sodium-laden things, too, like cottage cheese, but that wasn't the case yesterday. I won't give it up, though (i.e., chili lime seasoning) - I'm addicted to the stuff! Plus water weight doesn't bother me, other than the waterlogged feeling - it's usually gone the next day.
QOTD: I love the smell of baking bread, and of some other baked goods, too (like apple pie). Also, coffee being brewed. And the smell of chocolate (why are all these food related??)
2 years 2 months out:
B: homemade Greek yogurt, fresh blueberries
S: coffee with half & half, protein shake
L: ?? something protein forward...
D: grilled haddock & coleslaw, both topped with sesame-miso vinaigrette
another yogurt or maybe some Halo Top if I can afford the calories
Morning RNY'ers! I've been on my run and am dressed. About to make breakfast and head to the supermarket early. I've got three new recipes to try out this week.
No plans for today. I'll change sheets, vacuum and paint my toenails (well, what's left of them). Should be a relaxing day and I'm looking forward to it!
qotd: my favorite smells is probably anything to do with laundry. The detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets- just makes the whole place smell crisp and clean. And, oddly enough-- I love the smell of gasoline too. Fall is definitely on the horizon- my early morning runs are much cooler.
