Life Insurance More Than 5 Years Post-OP: Have You Applied?

Holy Moley guys! I got life insurance when I got married to GROOMY and paid something crazy like 243 bucks per month because I was a big fat health nightmare.

I was told I could be re-evaluated 3 years AFTER WLS for a BETTER rate.

But then he cheated on me with men, so I see no need to even KEEP a life insurance policy

RNY Surgery: 12/31/2013; 

Current weight (2/27/2015) 139lbs, ~14% body fat

Three pounds below Goal!!! Yay !

I'm extremely interested in what you learn on this topic as I have an existing policy which I pay a TON for based on the fact that my BMI was about 48 when I originally got it. I am looking to get a new policy that either dramatically lowers my monthly premium, or offers me a much larger payout at a similar rate.

I am 18 months post-op and have been waiting as I assumed that it would probably be an issue during the first 2-3 years post op.

Heck, even though I weighed about 305 when I got my policy, they went through my medical history and saw that I had been as high as 338 in the previous year, so they settled somewhere in the middle and considered me to weigh around 320 for coverage purposes.
