Ugh TGIF! Had a rough start this morning. Don't feel well, but most likely just allergies. It's storming here today, and I think the damp really irritates my allergies. Mold, maybe? Forgot my phone at home but took an early lunch to go grab it. I work in a cube farm, and I need something to listen to in my ear buds to concentrate with all the noise around me (people talking, faxing, printers, clicking-clacking on keyboards. My phone is my work lifeline haha!
QOTD: elementary school was Tammy W, who I am still acquainted with via facebook, and middle school on (I moved to a new district) was Tara M, *****mains my bestie to this day, though we live in different cities now, and she has a daughter while I'm still wild and childless. Sadly, there's a weird parent vs non-parent vibe between us now, though I adore her daughter. I honestly wonder if my friendship with her will last after I have surgery, but that's maybe a topic deserving it's own thread or a therapy session. Or both!
breakfast: skinny latte with extra shots (today is not the day for going without caffeine, though I've drastically cut back). 2 HB eggs with spicy mustard
lunch: Chili leftover from DH's work potluck. He saved me about a cup serving :)
snack: caramel apple pie yogurt (yum!)
dinner: maybe shrimp. I bought a whole bunch before DH told me he doesn't have a taste for it anymore. I'm usually in my own for dinner during the week so I may as well eat it. I love shrimp!
Photos: my father in law took these with a telephoto lens and solar filter. He and I are both photographers though I do portraits and events and he does nature, which require different types of equipment. I would not have been able to get such brilliant photos! We don't live far from what was the path of totality, so he drove out to where the sky was clear.
Haha, in regard to your edit: I can handle the typing but there's a really obnoxiously loud person in the next row over who talks ALL DAY and apparently she does the most important work of our whole department and everything is an emergency. She's always running around talking in a very loud self important tone.
I'd rather be listening to my audiobook. Or Aerosmith.
Good morning menu friends -
Friday is finally here. I should be at the lake setting up my camper by 12:30. Just have clothes and food to pack yet.
QOTD: I have 3 best friends. Amy I met within the first 3 months of moving to Texas the middle of my Junior year in 1985. We have Ben friends ever since...we talk at least once a week by phone. Kristine I met in 2001 when I moved to South Dakota. We talk daily in fact that is one of the people that I'm camping with. Dina is my best friend since childhood, we met thru our parents who were also best friends. I was 4 and she was 5 when we met 45 years ago. Our birthdays are 1 day apart, so we are the same age one day a year. We don't communicate as often as we should as we live only 30 miles apart. We went years (while I lived in Texas) without talking and and every time we did connect we just picked up right where we left off. It was her father's funeral that I went to to earlier this month.
