What's on your menu today (Photo Friday) RNYers?
I'm telling my trainer- putting it on my gym bucket list... I told him I wanted to do hanging chin-ups/pull-ups that I saw him doing with people where they are hanging off a rubber band thing. He said "We will work on it"
oh yeah it kill your hips, not so much padding anymore... :/

Good morning menu folks! No pictures today, but next week I should have a new "monthly" picture from my surgeon's visit.
It is cooler this morning, so I plan to head out for a walk after while. The pool where we do our deep water aerobics is closed for its yearly cleaning, so I have been missing my water time. I've been wogging (intervals of walking and jogging) alot and my knee started giving me problems last evening on the treadmill. I cut my wog short (45 minutes rather than an hour) to give it a bit of a rest. I'm hopeful that a walk today rather than jogging will put less stress on it and things will heal.
QOTD: My best friend through most of school was Heidi and I haven't really kept up with her over the years.

Yes, be careful with those knees! 15 years ago I loved running but then I damaged a knee and kept trying to run on it. It took about a year or more to heal and by then I was too heavy to run. At my age, I'm afraid to try it again so I just walk.

I'm in agreement with Liz. If jogging is causing knee pain please don't do It! I had undiagnosed rheumatoid arthritis and started jogging to try to lose weight. Worst thing I could have done. The exercise specialist I saw after surgery for the knee said if it causes actual joint pain don't do it. Pain like that is not the same as muscle pain from a hard workout. I've lost more weight than I ever expected and am below goal and maintaining and have never done anything but walk consistently.
Friday! We made it!
last night at the ball game was a hoot! My mom was in town, so she can with us. It was freezing by the end of the game though... rip hot summer nights, we hardly knew ye....
accountability: what can I say, there was popcorn. So far doesn't feel like it triggered any cravings, but def not something I want to include on the regular. Bonus, down over a pound today. I don't even pretend to understand the scale gods...
qotd: I had a couple, they were also farmers daughters, so once we all left the farm, we kinda lost touch. Might have to do something about that...
menu:
b: coffee and premier
the rest of the day is up in the air because I just looked at the time, and I'm still on the couch... whatever I grab for lunch! Prob tuna? Yikes.
photo is one I posted on Instagram, it's a before, during, during! Dress on the left is a 5x, middle is a 2x and the right is a large.
