Hi everyone? How are you? I am good, sore today! So we got some rain storms yesterday and wow its so cool this morning, feels like Fall. The temp right now is 12C (56F) and going for a low of 9C (45F) tonight, wow bye bye Summer!!!
Accountability: Got home from the gym late, went to bbq my pork chops and ran out of propane. So told hubby who was at baseball that is was mix & match night at our house, make or find in the cupboard whatever you want. I was just going to have yogurt and he brings home a steaming hot pizza after baseball! I had a small slice and it was delicious! And today I am down a pound, can the RNY Gods please explain this to me!!! At almost 4 years out I still have not figured maintenance out!!!
QOTD: Ever been told you have a twin (and if you have a twin this QOTD does not count, sorry). I must have a doppelganger out there somewhere, at least once a month I am told either at work, at the gym or out in a store that I have a "twin." Last week in my training course the instructor came up to me and asked how I liked her Finance class she taught an I said "I have no idea what you are talking about." She said you took my course. Nope not me, I hate math lady. She was shocked and said "OMG you have a twin, because I swear you took my class." She kept staring at me all class. This happens to me ALL THE TIME. I hope my "twin" is living a great life! LOL
3.9 years post op RNY - maintenance food - this is what I have planned and inputted into MFP - same menu as yesterday
B: tons of decaf with chocolate PP used as creamer
L: tuna/peppers/balsamic
S: 1.5oz of almonds + 2 cheese sticks
D: 4oz of grilled pork chop + A1 sauce (getting propane tonight to grill my chops!)
TOTALS: 973 calories, 125 protein, 25 carbs
V: patches are on
E: 5k run after work, cutting grass, take the dogs out for 3k run later in the evening

QOTD: I have randomly been told this, but never repeatedly in the same area (if that makes sense). Most recently, I have a friend near Boston who swears her nurse that is giving her iron infusions is my twin, but she's yet to manage to get a picture of her!
I don't understand maintenance either. I had Haltop last night for the first time in weeks and I'm down a pound this morning too. I'm guessing that's not supposed to be license from the WLS Gods to do it again tonight though right?

Good morning menu folks! It is cooler here today so I may go outside for a long walk at lunch. I've been on the treadmill for several days now and I miss having the outside experience.
QOTD: I haven't been told that I have a twin in a long time. I guess I am just too unique!
Menu:
Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 pieces turkey bacon
Snack: Lemonade protein shake
Lunch: TJ's Balsamic chicken, baby carrots
Snack: 2 oz turkey breast
Dinner: hamburger, cauliflower
Exercise: long walk outside? or 60 minutes on the treadmill

Morning!
went shopping after work as I am in desperate need of clothes again. Bought some dress pants. Size 14. What???? My last pair of jeans I bought pre op, were a 32...and I wore yoga pants as often as I could.
also bought a dress for fall/winter and a blouse. I still need a few more pieces though. I realized last night I can shop at consignment shops now, so I might check some out after work!
accountability: ok, but with the ac broken, I didn't feel like cooking or eating anything, so dinner was a protein shake.
qotd: apparently I do. We were out last st pattys, and different groups of friends were coming in at different times. A few of them mentioned how they went to the wrong table thinking it was me. Others waved at this person through the window heading in hahaha.(this was the beginning of the night, so I can't blame blurry vision haha)
people also always mix up my sisters and I. Although now that were closer in weight, people either mix me up with one of my sisters, or think I'm a stranger, depending on where their brain is at haha.

D: tbd, might take in a ball game Walter Gretzky is coming to through the opening pitch to his grandson, and I'd like to see that. But with all the rain, and shifting of schedules I'm not sure when that game is ( Ottawa has two double headers tonight, two tomorrow!)

my weight is way up this morning (and it's "weigh day" - crap!), so just checked my sodium intake for yesterday - as suspected, over the top. Maybe I'll record my weight tomorrow instead (but no later than tomorrow!!). Ugh - feeling really bloated!!
QOTD: there was a woman I worked with once who weighed more than I once did. We really didn't look alike at all, but since we both had brown hair, similiar haircuts, and were both SMO, students would get us mixed up all the time. This irritated the hell out of me because I knew it was just the weight and also, she was always heavier than I was.

Same experience here and I know exactly what you mean about feeling annoyed to be taken for someone else just because they are overweight too. My "twin" and I looked nothing alike, facially but I suppose our bodies were similar.

Today has turned into a busy day. I'm getting a consult this morning to possibly have some spots treated on my face. Then I have yet another interview with a fourth company this afternoon. Thankfully my soccer game was cancelled tonight, so I plan to do some yard work because as Daisy has said, it is quite cold here today.
QOTD: pre-op I had a twin... Apparently she worked at the lady's plus size store here because I went in one time and was asked why I wasn't working. Oh, and just recently I had someone tell me I was the spitting image of their niece, but I can't remember who that was.

Morning friends.... Happy Wednesday... It is Wednesday right? Nice day out we got hit with some wicked storms last night and they took away all the humidity so for the next few days it is supposed to be just nice and sunny not sure what I am supposed to do with days like that. Just like today is a normal work day not sure what I am supposed to do with a just do your normal work day?? I am sure something will come along and mess it up.
QOTD: I have never been told I have a twin but the other night my mother in laws companion told me I looked like Nancy Wilson the singer. I was nice and told him thank you but in the back of my mind was thinking he may have had to many of the fruity wine coolers that he drinks.
Daisy I hear about the follow the plan every day and nothing go off the rails and loose a pound or two it happens to me and I am always having to have to a back to reality moment when I about to eat something bad in my head going last time I did that I lost weight and I am so far away from maintenance it is not funny!
