What's on your menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?
yes - technology has made keeping in touch much easier!! Diler (my friend) is sort of like the kind of friends I had in high school - or middle school - people you do things with all the time, talk to every day, know the ins and outs of each other's lives, etc. It's sad when you become an adult and everyone gets involved in their own lives that you just don't have many friendships like that anymore. Or I haven't anyway - maybe just two or three over all these years. It's been so great this summer having that again, esp with Greg and I working completely different hours (me: days - him: evenings & weekends). I'm going to work on this, though - I need more people like this in my life!
QOTD: Could include a lot, but the first 2 that come to mind are The Breakfast Club - must have seen that a hundred times in part. Another one that has special meaning is The Money Pit w/Tom Hanks & Shelley Long - that one has special meaning because we watched this I think for the 1st time when we were living through a major remodel (total gut job) on our house and could totally relate.

Hi everyone! Its supposed to be hot here today too.
Accountability- yesterday sucked. I stewed and stewed about a work situation despite trying to using all of my outlets to vent. Carbs were through.the.roof. I tracked every single thing my MFP and journaled about my feelings for the day. Its important for me to be able to look back a year from now and know what was behind the choices of the day. Moving forward today- now more stewing.
QOTD: Shawshank Redemption I can watch over and over, and Casino.

Good morning everyone- we've had such a busy summer, and I'm sorry for being awol this past week. Accountability has been okay - my appetite made a return these past 2 weeks so I'm glad for My Fitness Pal that keeps me on track, but my calories have been higher than I'd like to be. I'm working on it though and Grim's "Hunger is not an emergency" is my mantra.
QOTD- I rarely watch movies tbh but when I was a teenager there were a few I would watch over and over- The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Young Guns, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Dirty Dancing to name a few - I'm showing my age lol. I could definitely watch The Shawshank Redemption again, as well as Sleeping With the Enemy, The King's Speech (I LOVED that movie) and The Time Traveller's Wife. My tastes have changed. Tyler - my oldest is a history buff, so Chelsie wants to take him to see Dunkirk as a graduation present. I wouldn't mind seeing it too.
Menu:
B: Kelly's Egg Salad - so good! And a change from protein shakes
L: Cold cuts and Cheese
D: Not sure- maybe a burger without the bun
S: I made Greek yogurt jello- 1 package of sugar free jello, 1 cup of boiling water and 1 cup of plain greek yogurt. It is delicious!
E: I need to do a 30 minute something - exercise has also fallen off the rails as I've been busy with house and summer stuff.
Have a great day everyone!
