Blood sugar issue?
I saw you were on the way to the doctor so I deleted my comment. Hope all goes well and you feel better.

Hi Gang,
Just checking in! Yesterday, I went to the NP up and work, who was concerned about my still low BS. She called my primary care doc who immediately sent me to the ER for tests because he would be able to get the tests results immediately and know if I am in immediate danger.
The results are-not in immediate danger.
My hydration and electrolytes were normal per labs. The CT scan showed there were no abnormalities in my brain. Heart appears normal.
So that leaves:1) hypoglycemia or 2) Vitamins levels off. The ER doc doesn't think it was vitamins because the severity of the symptoms/event. He wished I would have gone to the ER at the time (I should have, I was out of my head and fighting my friend that found me/saved me...because I was nuts at the time. I really was out-of-my-head do not make sense zombie concious).
The ER doc took me off of metformin for the time and told me to: 1) eat complex carbs 2) have simple carbs on hand 3) rest for a day (he gave me note), and 4) eat a snack with a complex carb every 2-3 hours.
My next steps are: 1) see the dietician on monday for a strategy for handling eating/timing/food/kinds of carbs and pairings for hypoglycemia while trying to get rid of weight re-gain; 2) get a glucometer 3) see endocrinologist...
The NP at work is insistent that I get a glucometer.
I was not allowed to drive today and I had a hand surgeon appointment. A friend took me. The good news is: the hand surgeon released me! Hand strenght is normal! Range of motion is good! Previously when I severed the nerve, I couldnt tell the difference between 1 or 2 pins with greater than 15mm distance. I can now tell at 11 mm! Normal for THIS surgery would be 8-10 mm, so I am almost there!! A normal person that hasn't had their finger half chopped off and nerves severed is 6 mm on the pin test.
Well wishes to you!

Three pounds below Goal!!! Yay !
Thank God your friend found you. I understand the desire to minimize and not get followed up medically right away because we think we're fine. (I've been where you are. Namely the floor for several hours. It took me way too many times to admit that I was not fine).
Just can't emphasize enough to please do everything the docs tell you. AND start carrying some glucose tabs or gel around. We never plan to pass out and many times have no idea that is what's happening. But if you've dealt with it once odds are you'll have another episode at some point. Catching it early is an absolute necessity. If you are alone you can end up in a coma. And there's always the chance that you'll knock yourself into a concussion or some such if you crack your head on the floor or furniture.
Get a meter if you feel you need one. I did at first but quickly found out that (for me) it wasn't worth stopping to measure my blood sugar. When I get to that point I have a matter of one, if I'm lucky two, minutes to get fuel into my body. After readings in the 30's several times I decided I needed those moments to eat.
It sucks and I'm sorry you are dealing with it - wouldn't wi**** on anybody ever - but my God I'm glad you are here to post this.
