What's on your Sunday menu RNYers?
Yes! I actually used to play the dictionary game, and this was definitely along those lines, it was just more trivia and you could select categories. I definitely recommend it as a party game!
Todays meals are
M1 protein Shake and fruit (banana)
M2 protein shake and veggie (cucumber)
M3 chicken w/ tomatoes and mozz cheese
S Protein bar
Now I have a silly question, some days I do get 4 meals in, still all food normally adds up to 1300 to 1500 calories. I am still 64 days (give or take) from RNY, and my nurse raised an eye brow that I am eating 4 times a day. Should I not? I have yet to go to my nutritional visit. So I am kinda doing things on my own. I did loose 14.1 pounds last month! (the goal was 14 pounds by October 19th)
Good for you! If it is working for you stick with it, and let her raise her eyebrows...
Post surgery some plans call for 3 meals no snacks... I personally couldn't have done that, especially the first 2 years...as you can eat so little at a meal. I still eat 4-6 times a day... now they aren't all the same size meals though. There are 'snacks' and there are 'meals'... in the beginning they were either a protein shake or 2-3oz of protein and maybe a bite of veg.

Congratulations on your loss! My RnY was on June 12, and I eat 4-5 times a day. My calories are lower than yours though - most days under 600. My plan has my meal size still restricted to 2 ounces, with an average calorie load of 100-150 each. It's hard to get higher calories given the list of allowed foods plus such small portion sizes. But it's fine with me! This week is the first week soft-cooked veggies are included, yay! I don't eat protein bars, but I always have 1 or 2 PP shakes a day, too, as well as 2-3 real food meals.
Congrats on your loss! I'm pre-op also and hoping to lose 25 lbs before surgery which will likely be scheduled in January/February. I'm being strict with portions, but do eat more frequent meals...usually 3 main meals and one or two smaller "snacks." I'm slowly losing, and while I'd prefer a faster loss, I just keep telling myself my surgery date will come. In the meantime, if I were to reduce portions AND only eat 3 meals, I'd be ready to naw my own arm off. It just wouldn't be sustainable to me without having aquired my tool.

Hi everyone.
Very busy day today! Got lots of cooking done on the grill, did a bunch of errands and had to process payroll for work.
