What's on your Menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Hi everyone! Just got back from my trip that I was afraid of...no control over food was my fear. Well as dcgirl assured me (thank you!) it wasn't bad at all. I got some string cheese ,cottage cheese, popsicles, hummus and protein drinks. I used the string cheese for lunch had a protein drink at b'fast and snack time... and basically ate what my friends ate. They cooked with me in mind.... my only stray off plan was some fresh corn...One night when they had pizza I dug into my food on hand and had hummus and cottage cheese. I weighed myself today and was up a pound. I'm really happy that I was able to pull it off. Feel more confident. My weight loss has been pretty steady (with a plateau thrown in here and there). I weighed 345 at my first consultation with my surgeon...305 at surgery...and 238 now. I'm feeling really good about it and feel like I can do it.
As far as ripped jeans go...I was around in the late 60's and embroidered all over my jeans... my boyfriend's (to use the jargon of the time my old man) and various shirts etc. also patched stuff with fabric and leather. Anyway I think that really ripped up jeans just don't look good. I've never liked the pants falling down look....and I hate the short shorts with pockets hanging out. I don't know ...still identify as and old hippie... And I still embroider... Patching not so much.

I'm glad you are enjoying your course!
QOTD: I'm with you - paying for worn out, ripped jeans??? Seems cheaper to wear them to that point (but then I would toss them). I am definitely old (but I like to think I'm young at heart).
