Hi everyone! How is everyone? I am great! My training course yesterday was actually excellent and very engaging, I loved it.
Accountability: 100% on plan, so pleased! Didn't eat my evening yogurt, ate my steak late so I was full.
QOTD: What's the deal with how kids are wearing their jeans with all the rips? Personally it drives me insane. I think it looks so messy and like they just rolled out of bed. I mean you pay good money to buy a new pair of jeans that already has a dozen rips in them? I just can't stand that "look." I guess I am getting old.
3.9 years post op RNY - maintenance food - this is what I have planned and inputted into MFP
B: tons of decaf with vanilla PP used as creamer
L: tuna/peppers/balsamic
S: 1/3 cup of sunflower seeds
D: 4oz of steak + A1 sauce
S: 1/2 of a "Oh Yeah" One Protein Birthday Cake flavour protein bar
TOTALS: 904 calories, 128 protein, 26 protein
V: patches are on
E: 60 minute boot camp tonight at the gym, taking the dogs out at 9pm for 5km run

qotd: lol you're an old!! ...and so am I! I mean I like the look of certain ripped jeans in photos and magazines, but they don't actually look good in real life, to me. At a store, the sales staff insisted I try on a pair.
Now, I have some pretty thick thighs. I looked like I was going Hulk out of those jeans hahaha, definitely not flattering!
Another trend that I can't get on board with is the return of paint spattered jeans. I saw some crazy expensive ones and thought it was a one off. But then I saw a sweatshirt. And recently one of my home magazines did a profile on the spatter trend!
no thanks. I dont need 200$ jeans to tell people that I am a disaster with a paintbrush.

Good morning menu folks!
We have a party at work today that I am dreading in some ways. It's not that I don't want to be sociable, but all of the food will be carbs and I don't like the temptation.
QOTD: I'm with you Daisy and I don't like jeans with rips. I guess I'm pretty conservative when it comes to clothes, but I don't see the point.
Menu:
Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 pieces turkey bacon
Snack: Lemonade protein shake
Lunch: Tilapia, baby carrots
Snack: 2 oz turkey breast
Dinner: pork chops, cauliflower
Exercise: short walk, 60 minutes on the treadmill

I'm off on my big drive to pick up the puppies. I can't wait to see them!! It has been 2.5 weeks without their shenanigans.
Yesterday the second round interview with the first company went really well and they want me to come back to meet the owner. The second interview was not as good and I realized that I do not really want to work for that type of organization. The office was way too quiet. And... I got an email for a phone interview with a third company this week. I will do that while I'm away. So hopefully one position works out :)
QOTD: I have one pair of ripped jeans with two small spots (not huge ones that go around the whole leg) that I found when I bought a bag of clothes from someone. When I wear them I keep thinking there is a stain on my leg. I do have paint splattered jean shorts, but I made those splatters myself when I painted our house lol. Oops.
Breakfast - protein shake
Snack - maybe egg and sausage depending where I stop
Lunch - probably a grilled chicken sandwich without the bun

Good morning Menu crew- another great start and halfway through the week. I was sore yesterday from the previous day 10 mile hike. I went to the gym and could only walk on the treadmill, home, and in the hot tub and seemed to feel much better. no pain, no gain.
QOTD - Neither of my boys wear pants like that so we are lucky I guess. I will have to keep a closer eye on the general population.
Accountability - spot on and like Daisy I did not eat my yogurt, ( someone forgot to pack a utensil and I did not want to ask anyone to borrow one...LOL)
