What's on your Menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?
on 8/15/17 3:09 am - GTA, Ontario, Canada
Hi menu crew! How are you all? I am good. Its raining here right now, supposed to clear up later and get warm. I am in a training course today and I hope I don't fall asleep in it, I had a really crappy sleep last night.
Accountability: I was good all day. Didn't have my steak for dinner just had yogurt. But then at 10pm instead of just going to bed I grabbed a bag of Smart Food popcorn and had a lot, not happy with myself. I was not hungry, it was total boredom.
QOTD: Are you hungry when you wake up or do you drink first (coffee, tea, protein shake) and then eat later. I have always been hungrier later in the day/evening, even pre surgery I ate a lot of calories from 7pm - 11pm. Now I wake up at 5am, first coffee is at 6am, I drink many decaf coffees up until about noon then I eat lunch. I am not that hungry first thing in the morning, but come 7pm its like I am ravenous and I want to eat and eat right up to going to bed.
3.9 yrs post op RNY - maintenance food - this is what I have planned and inputted into MFP for today
B: tons of decaf with vanilla PP
L: tuna/peppers/balsamic

Morning!
had a nice evening, my sister and brother in law came over to help us set up our new gazebo, and I bbqed dinner, and we ate outside. Finally felt like a summer evening!
qotd: i used to eat first thing. Since surgery I have been satisfied with a protein shake and coffee. During the week, I try to eat at 11am, 2pm, 6 ish pm. Doesn't always work out that way, but I try. Weekends are definitely not consistent. Other than my morning protein shake.
accountability: good on plan. My weight is up a little, but I think it's jus****er from the extra weekend carbs.
menu:
B: coffee and premiere protein
L: leftover pork tenderloin
D: think I'm on my own for dinner, so prob leftovers.
S: half a premiere protein bar if needed.
take care everyone!

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!
QOTD: I usually drink 2 or 3 large mugs of coffee in the morning before I eat anything for breakfast. I am usually not that hungry in the morning and I put off eating as long as I can because once I eat then that seems to make me want to eat more the rest of the day. I think a lot of it is head hunger and I have to space out my snacks and discipline myself not to just eat whenever I think I want a snack. Since I don't work and am home all the time, food is a constant temptation and boredom can cause me to want to eat something so it helps if I stay busy.
Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 70, Calories - 895, Carbs - 68.
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks
L: hamburger with melted cheese
D: hamburger with melted cheese
S: light & fit Greek yogurt, prosciutto & mozzarella sticks
E: Walking Blossom around the subdivision
Have a FANTASTIC day everyone!
~ Karen

what's wrong with Karen eating two hamburgers in a day? Are you anti hamburger or something? She's eating protein so why point this out?

Nothing wrong. I was just asking. Maybe she is in the ground meat/soft foods stage. Maybe she is single. Maybe she is traveling (like I did with skating) and it seemed that all I could come up with for those fridays was the same protein shake or hard boiled egg combo.
That is why I wrote "not to be judgy". I was just being nosy.
