Good morning weekenders~ We are headed out shortly for a lovely day up the coast. A nice long beach walk beach combing, delicious seafood, visiting my moms grave and a movie later. Not too shabby!

QOTD - I would never give any unsolicited advise. I had a dr's asst that I had never met before take me aside and tell me I should consider WLS as it worked for her and she whipped out her before photo. I was somewhat offended, intrigued but still annoyed that she insisted I take her surgeons business card. It took me a long time to get here. In fact it was my sister who asked me to go to the free seminar to support her that got the ball rolling and helped me to see it truly was a viable option for me as well. I know my quality of life and my choices have improve tremendously. life before was so much harder and I just never realized how much of my time was spend planning like Erin said... it's crazy. It's nice to not have to think about all of that stuff anymore.

Accountability - discovered Breyers protein ice cream last night... had one serving, not bad. Of all the Halo top I've had most were dry and gummy, this was pretty creamy compared although I had the Halo top salted caramel that was super creamy and yummy once.

Going CAMAW for the foreseeable future, but the C is only cream for my coffee and eggs and nothing else.

8mo post op - I need to get out of my stall.

Hello everyone,

I'm doing some cooking and yard work today with my nephew.

QOTD: If someone asks about the surgery I will give information about it but I don't pu**** Many years ago my brother tricked me into going to a WLS seminar. He told me it was to support him. At that point in my life I was no where near thinking of WLS. I was not happy about it at all and was hurt by him even though he did it with the best of intentions. With that said, having WLS is the best thing I ever did.

Accountability: I stayed 100 % on plan.

B: 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon, slice of cheese

Rest of the day is TBD but will be protein forward.

Have a great day everybody!!

Good morning! Zach is back from working on the peninsula so we are going to celebrate our 3rd anniversary this weekend and probably go out for a fancy dinner (not going to lie, there will be some cheating on the menu at some point). Other than that I have no plans except for work. Today is going to be intense. Somebody who works our front desk crammed way too many clients into my schedule and I just don't know how or if I can pull miracles out of thin air. My body can only handle so much right now with my arm/wrist as inflamed as it is. Feeling a little nervous about getting through the day!

QOTD: I have been very pro surgery! I'm slowly starting to talk about it more with people I feel comfortable enough to tell and if they want to know more then I share as much as they want me to. It's a great tool to turn your life around but I don't sugar coat the situation. I tell them how hard it is but I do emphasize how worth it the surgery is.

s- cheese wedge and freeze dried raspberries

e- arm is going to hate me by the end of the day and my left leg muscles still feel like they're healing so I'm going to sit out today... again :(

hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!

Posting late today

qotd: I haven't had surgery yet, so I have no idea if it's something I'll recommend, however, it's always been an option I've known about since I was 16 or 17 when my mom had hers. My mom brought it up to me as an option when I was diagnosed with diabetes at 25, but never pushed it, and I wasn't mentally and emotionally ready then. My plan is to be open about "how I did it" if people ask, and to answer any questions honestly if they want more info, but ultimately This isn't a type of surgery I'd push, exactly. But I think it's good to let people who are struggling know that it's an option.

Today:

breakfast was 2 eggs, 1/4 C cottage cheese, and a spoonful of salsa, scrambled. 16 oz of fairlife milk (I had a weird craving for milk, I rarely do)

for lunch I made jalapeño poppers with fresh peppers from my garden. Sliced them in half, filled the middles with cream cheese, and wrapped them in bacon. Threw them on the grill until the bacon was cooked. 2 peppers made 4 poppers.

dinner will be Texas Roadhouse with in-laws. DH and I will share a steak, and I'll get salad and seasonal veggies for sides.

If asked I would share my experience.
