Hello Everyone!

Beautiful day here in RI and I may actually go to the beach for a bit. I've never done that before but I may give it a go today. We shall see. First I have to see how expensive it will be to have my rings sized. They are getting dangerously loose and it breaks my heart to take the off. I have my wedding and engagement ring but also my moms engagement ring and I just hate taking them off but if I lost one I'd be heartbroken so I better get the job done.

Accountability: yesterday I stayed on plan and had myy sf gum under control. I hate this damn head hunger and wish I could just wipe it away but I know I'll have to figure out how to deal with it. Really having trouble with that the last few weeks.

B: decaf, pp, sf torani, volpi cheese and prosciutto roll

L: left over salmon and chicken with carrots and no calorie dressing (how can it really be no calorie?)

D: grilled cod, zucchini

S: prosciutto and Swiss, pb2

Good morning OH~ It's Thursday! Which means it's almost Friday and then the weekend! So looking forward to a great weekend. Going to see my dad tonight, then home to BBQ some chicken for dinner. Rob will be home this afternoon, yay!

Went for my swim at the gym yesterday and I'm really starting to not just see, but feel the bat wing drag...I started having this fear that I would become so self conscious of my skin that I would stop swimming...it became very real yesterday, especially as I am getting closer to goal. I wear a rash guard when it's cold, but I may start wearing it all the time soon. Arms are at the very top of the PS list now.

Accountability - had a handful of pork rinds last night that was not planned. I need to get them out of the house and stop buying them all together, so dangerous. Need to go AMAW hardcore and I think I will start that on Monday so I have time to shop and plan. Scale went up recently and has not moved back down.

QOTD - Our sensor lights just rile up the dogs every time a raccoon, opossum or cat activates it in the middle of the night so we turned them off. Besides, there is a street light behind us that lights up our back yard pretty well. The porch light only goes on if someone is out past dark.

8 mo post op - 189

b - coffee w/heavy cream and splenda, HB eggs

l - tuna salad (mayo and onion) w/balsamic vinegar

d- BBQ chicken

v/l on track

e - not today - visiting my dad

Have a fantastic day, ya'l!!

Good morning everybody!

Happy birthday Stacy!

today is another busy day and my carpel tunnel will not calm down. Going on week 5 at this point and starting to feel like maybe I do need to go to the doctor. I refuse to do that surgery though!

accountability: stayed 100% on track yesterday (minus 6 dry roasted peas)

QOTD: we have motion sensor lights in the front and back. We also have security cameras. It's out of necessity though. Our neighborhood is not awesome and cars are always being broken into or stolen. We've had people hop our fences in the middle of the night even. It's ridiculous. The most frustrating part is that all of the houses on the street are identical and not one of them has a window facing the street. Not one window! Who designed these things?! I cannot wait till we can afford to move. I like our neighbors but I hate this neighborhood :(

B - decaf espresso and choc pp

L - Greek light and fit yogurt

S - laughing cow cheese wedges, mini pickles

D - tuna poke

V - Patches

E - too much to do today so I'm not sure I'll work it in. I really want to try to find a way but I also pulled some kind of muscle in my leg so I suppose jogging is out of the question for now. Feeling pretty darn discouraged at this point

Hope today is awesome for you guys. Make it a good day, everyone!

Mandi I just wanted to take a minute and congratulate you.

I was one of the people who told you to "smarten up" when you posted a few weeks ago about struggling and you have done a total 180 and I am so thrilled for you and all your hard work!

I knew you had it in you and just needed a "push" so to speak.

You are doing so well, your protein is awesome and there is little to no carbs on your menu, WAY TO GO GIRL!!!!

As for exercise, don't push yourself if you have an injury, put some heat (like a heating pad) on your muscle strain, there is always time to exercise, just get well.

Keep up the awesome work, I am super proud of you!

Thanks, Daisy! I'm trying to not get discouraged and mad at myself for "falling off the wagon" this weekend but the scale is making it hard to let it go. It's been going up a pound everyday since then and I've been so good the last several days. The struggle is real haha! Just trying to keep on the right path and hope the scale starts to cooperate soon. Fingers crossed!

Take a few deep breaths. If you follow the plan (high protein, low carb and lots of liquids) the weight WILL come off. You know how this WLS things goes, there are lots and lots of times we lose, stall, lose, stall, lose, stall. Don't get discouraged by a couple of pounds gain, it can be lots of factors for that, just stick to the plan, and the pounds will start to come off again, you are doing great!

Hi Mandi - the thing about carpal tunnel syndrome is that it never gets better, but continues to get worse. I put up with the numbness and waking up numerous times a night but when my hands started to become totally numb while driving I had to have the surgery. I will say it was very easy surgery, recovery was fast and my scars are barely visible. Good luck whatever happens.
