What's on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
hey all
Accountability: almost 100% on plan, there was some whipped topping eaten after yoga.
qotd: no we don't have a sensor but wish i did. next house will have one. We live in a very safe area where you can leave your car unlocked with the keys in it and no one will mess with it. crime is super low here. mostly people just cook their meth and keep to themselves. Joking but not really, north GA is known for meth labs in houses and moonshine stills. Dawsonville is the 'birthplace' of nascar which ties to the moonshine runners. it's our claim to fame and we have a moonshine festival every year.
Food for today:
gizzards
decaf
prot pancakes
HB egg whites
more gizzards
I MAY go to yoga tonight, but I may not. last night ran 75 min long and was hard!!
Do you know Awesome Bill from Dawsonville? Bill Elliott?

Hello! There is a hot air balloon festival and wine tasting this weekend that we've always enjoyed, it's a great chance to taste local wines. I've found a few good ones I wouldn't have tried otherwise. But with DH post-op, and me pre-op, there hasn't been wine in our house in months, not that either of us was a heavy drinker before. Also, looks like it might storm Saturday anyway, otherwise I might go just to watch the balloons.
QotD: we have a regular porch light in front which we've been leaving off because we have a June bug problem, and the light attracts them often into our house when the door gets opened! Yuck. In back, I have a solar lightpost that lights up our backyard but gradually fades through the night. By about midnight it's fairly dim (like you can see its on, but it's not illuminating the walkway at all) and usually completely off by 2 am.
Accountability: met a friend last night for dinner instead of eating at home. 2 slices of thin crust pizza and 4 buffalo wings. Sigh.
Breakfast: turkey sausage, 1 HB egg
lunch: 1/2 chicken breast, cucumber slices and yogurt dip
dinner: other half of chicken breast, more cucumber slices. My garden is producing them like mad, and they're really delicious and sweet.
Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!
Happy Birthday Stacy!
QOTD: We have a motion sensor porch light in the back yard that was here when we bought the house. I turn that on when I let the dogs out at night. There are also motion sensor lights on the garage but I don't ever turn those on. We have a regular porch light on the front of the house that doesn't work right so it will come on, then blink off a few seconds later. Fortunately people rarely ever come to the front door after dark. Our friends and family all come to the back door. There is a street light on the corner and we live on the corner so it's pretty bright even without any porch lights.
Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 62, Calories - 1,120, Carbs - 92.
Today:
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks
L: stuffed peppers
D: beef pot roast
S: Light & Fit Greek yogurt
E: Walking Blossom around the subdivision
Have a FANTASTIC day everyone!
~ Karen

Happy Happy Birthday, Stacy!!! Hope you have a great one!
QOTD: We have a small motion detector light in the backyard that only goes on if the dogs go over in that area of the yard. Our porch light rarely is on, but we do have our front lights (we have front/back porches that run the length of our house) on a timed system and they go on around dusk and turn off the same in the morning). Being in the country, none of our neighbors are close enough for any motion lights they may have to affect us, but a lot of them have these huge lights that I don't even know how to describe... similar to parking lot lights... they light up the universe, and it drives me nuts because it cuts down on the stars you can see if you're in the backyard...
Accountability: I did pretty well yesterday. Changed up lunch because I was out of the office most of the day, so I had my leftover 'Kelly' eggsalad and a handful of pork rinds instead. I did have a SB Skinny latte last night because, again, I was out in the evening. So had that instead of my homemade one.
Weight this morning 138.6, 15 months out, going for a stretch goal of 133... AND... the scale hates me. I work out few times and get myself sore, and I'm convinced my body holds onto water to punish me!
B: leftover meatloaf I didn't eat for lunch yesterday
S: pepperoni I didn't eat yesterday
L: Butter chicken
D: Not sure, but protein forward
S: Fairlife decaf Latte

Mornin' peeps! What a difference a day makes. Reminder to self, "Self, always take your multi-vitamins." The difference in energy is astonishing! I was a whipped puppy last night and could literally feel the difference 1 hour after taking each vitamin (my multi for pre-surg is just a low carb vit and is 3capsules for the RDA). Oh! I go to see the RD today for my 1st pre-op appointment! Woot!
Happy Birthday Stacy!!! Have an amazing day filled with fun and laughter!!
QOTD: We have motion sensors on the garage. Sometimes the squirrels (they're everwhere!) jack with us and run back and forth in front of them, just to make them go on. LOL. I know it's intentional cuz they give us very tiny one finger salutes as they do it. One of them, the "big guy" we call Milt, also moons us. We also keep the porch lite on in case the guy from Motel 6 ever shows up in need of accommodations during the night.
Accountability: As I move my cals up, I've come to realize that I just have no desire to eat 3 full/big meals each day. I'm still at 800 cals and if I go all out on a breakfast omelet, no way am I even thinking about food at lunch--so the last thing I want to do is make a big salad and chow down on it. In the old days when I wasn't trying to "hit" any other magic numbers other than making my protein goal and staying under 30g net carbs for the day, it was easy to simply "eat to hunger." But now that the surgeon is giving me these dire warnings of: get your pre-surg calories up or else! (Else being that she said she might not be able to help me with surgery...le sigh...) I really don't know what to do. I hate eating when I'm not hungry. What would you guys do? So yesterday's menu got reworked from lunch to the rest of the day. I still hit my numbers: 804cals; 65g prot; 44g fat; 30g net carbs. I am actually a little stressed trying to dream up ways to get up to 900 cals. So very weird. I've never in my life felt that way--nor had that problem. If I eat carb, then forget being satisfied at 800cals, cuz 8000 cals might not even satisfy me.
Menu: 800 cals; 71g prot; 45g fat; 32g net carb (sigh...I'm 2g over...it will have to "do" today)
B: ham, lite cheddar, spinach, mushroom omelet
L: peanut butter chocolate premier protein
D: turkey bowl (green chile turkey taco meat, baby spinach, mushrooms, roasted cauli, lite cheddar wedge), avo/toms
S: 8 lightly salted roasted almonds/1 choco calcium chew
