Bacon?
I know I'm a weirdo, but I like turkey bacon waaaaay better than real bacon. To each their own. I cook it in the oven at 350 for 10 mins and it's perfect (for me)!

I eat bacon almost every day in my breakfast omelette, and it is always uncured pork bacon. I cook a bunch up once a week and crumble it so that it convenient to use throughout the week. I like Trader Joe's uncured ends and pieces, but I haven't been able to find it lately, so I get their uncured applewood and cut it into lardons before I cook it. Delish!

I don't eat bacon very often, and when I do I eat 1-2 slices. Like most people I find pork bacon to be much superior to turkey bacon when it comes to taste, texture, etc.
pork bacon can be between 40-70 calories a slice. Turkey bacon can run 20-40 calories. Taking averages you are talking an extra 50 calories for 2 slices. There is no question in my mind that the trade off is worth it! Especially when I have it once a month or so!
I had bacon for the first time two days ago for breakfast. Four crispy slices and squeezed as much fat; or should I say soaked up in a paper towel.
Exactly 24 hours later I was sick as a dog. I nearly went home from work. Now, I don't know if it was a stomach bug or the bacon but it took about 3-4 hours before I felt better.
Now, I just put bacon on my wall of "NO" for now.
