Bacon?
I eat turkey bacon several times a week. I love the Applegate turkey bacon and sausages. They are very meaty and not too fatty.

I bought turkey bacon a few months after surgery. Had it cooked about half way. The smell and the look were just utterly revolting, and it went down the disposer without tasting it.
I eat regular bacon whenever I can.

Real bacon. I like it crispy. Crispy bacon has probably less fat % wise than cheese.
Plus - for me - carbs make me gain weight, not fat.

I eat real bacon. Cuz you know...what part of the turkey does the "bacon fat"=clear/opaque-ish white part, come from anyways? It would completely skeeve me out if it came from turkey skin. I move up too 900 cals next week (pre-surg/surgeon's plan) and am already planning on adding a 4th food group=bacon, to make up that 100 cal jump. LOL.
Happy happy joy joy!

I once ordered something with bacon from a restaurant and the bacon tasted terrible to me. I found out later that it was turkey bacon. I only buy real bacon and think the best tasting is Hormel Black Label. When I fry it, I do a whole pound at once and it lasts about a day.

Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
I noticed Dollar Tree stores carry name brand turkey bacon; for a buck, it might be worth a try. For me, sodium and nitrates in bacon, jerky, and etc. taste pretty similar. My DH requests for me to hunt down something called side pork at meat stores; the butcher described it as "unprocessed bacon." Another option...
Only real bacon passes these lips...
And these lips like it passed on a regular basis
