Oh me too. I am pretty sure that I've eaten entire loaves of toast on my own --
I live in very large Italian and Polish/Slovak community. I have never seen a piece of bread, a gnocchi, cavatelli, or perogi I didn't want to devour.

Well, it was all fun and games until the insulin syringe!
I actually love the Italian-American food here, more than the Italian food we ate while in Italy. It's just so good.
I have to say, the Polish, German and Slovak food here is pretty amazing, too.
Damn it. I just love food.

Same here!! -- 2 shots of medium acting and 2 to 3 bolus of rapid acting. Oh, and sometimes another bolus when I was running high -- so I could eat something else! I also took 2000 mg. of Metformin ...
I sure don't miss those injections -- although, I still test three times a day.

- I went into WLS with high blood pressure controled by medication. Unlike most, my HB continued for a month or two after surgery then in one week it went from 130s/80s to 90s/50s then later that week 70s/40s. At that point I dropped the HP medication and I've been around 95-105/55-65 ever since. Not sure if that helps or not. My PCP said that as long as I'm exercising, low BP is a good thing, showing conditioning etc...
- I am a walking poster child for how not to do WLS - Last night I had 3 oz of roasted green beans with my smoked salmon. I will blend kale or spinach into my rare but treasured yogurt smoothie. Sometimes I skip the string cheese snack and eat a cup of fresh spinach with an oz of goat cheese (dressed with a little vinegar and oil).

HI,
I tried adding another 1/2 ounce of protein to my mushies today and found it very satisfying. It was 4 tb of egg beaters with a sprinkle of parmesan and 2.5 oz of salmon. It definitely made a difference in the soft food feeling of fullness. I love kale and spinach but I think I will wait until I get closer to goal I am a revision so my weight loss is slower than most and I started out at a very high BMI.

For what it's worth, my favorite "treat" the first month out was sashimi, specifically minced tuna and or salmon. I love the stuff and I was cleared to eat that at ten days and just loved the feeling I had after 3 to 4 oz of raw fi**** felt like my body was truly satisfied with that protein source. It was a treat more on the cost basis than the taste or calories.
There are MANY on here who could not tolerate sashimi early out, if ever, and some who would think I should have been sick from raw fish in general but it worked great for me. It also made going out to eat simple as I could request a sushi restaurant, then just order the sashimi instead of a roll. If you're a sushi lover you might consider trying a little sashimi and see how it sits.
I also ate some avocado the first couple weeks out. It was on my list of foods for that time, and it provided a nice break from canned meat and sweat foods. I ate an oz or so after my protein. I mixed some avocado into my raw tuna (1 oz avocado, 3oz raw tuna) and added some low sodium soy sauce.
Looking at your post, if your doctor's recommendation is 1 to 2 oz. of protein, then 1 to 2 oz of veggies or complex carbs etc... you should be able to replace the "other" with more protein to make up the same volume without compromising your loss. Can you email your medical team? I emailed mine copies of my food from MFP and asked for input.
