What's on your menu today (Monday) RNYers?
Morning!
its a holiday today for most of Canada. The sun is finally out, but I think it's too cool to hang out in the pool. I think we're going to go for a nice walk though, so at least we can get outside! I'm off tomorrow as well, and so glad to have the extra day.
qotd: yup. This is something I think about a lot. It will depend on finances, but I plan on having my arms done. And while in there, may as well extend it into a breast lift.
In Canada you can often have a panni removal covered. And if I'm going down that route, I would like to upgrade and pay the difference for a full tummy tuck. But even just the panni will make a huge difference for me, so maybe I spend that money elsewhere?
The above surgeries aren't really about aesthetics only. The excess skin is limiting me. Unless I'm in head to toe compression gear, any high impact activity is really uncomfortable ( I mean, not as uncomfortable as being nearly 400 pounds, but still). I'm still losing, but I assume I'm going to be left with a lot.
And I would like a facelift. That ones purely aesthetic, but would be further down the road. I plan to be at goal a couple of years to see how thing settle and shift.
From a looks point of view, my thighs are the area in most need of reconstruction, they are melted candles. But are the least likely to get done. I don't think they bother me much physically. No one other than my husband needs to see them. And not gonna lie, recovery from that surgery intimidates me.
accountability: There was popcorn... went to see Dunkirk, and I had 3 handfuls during the trailers. Not sure why. We've gone to the movies often and I have been fine. I think it's partly because we went to an icream shop beforehand, and didn't have any. And pre op ice cream was my main overindulgence. my carbs were higher than usual, but stayed in a reasonable range.
menu:
literally no idea, other than I hear pork chops for dinner. But it will be protein forward, and no popcorn.
have a good one!

hi all
weekend was a busy one, had company in town and dropped him off yesterday and had lunch when out. had an excellent blackened salmon on a side salad in town and it was yummy.
QOTD: I'm on the fence about it really. I think I lucked out in the skin arena, i have some hangy arm skin, abdominal and thigh and butt. Plus I keep having to have surgeries instead (gallbladder, twisted bowel/hernia) so I'm paying for that instead. I should have asked the surgeon to take out any extra fat while he was in there 2 weeks ago.
I'm finally starting to drop weight from surgery. I nearly had a breakdown saturday because I NEVER wanted to weigh what I did and was freaking out. mostly due to surgery and some bad eating choices.
Accountability: bad, bad choices over the weekend until sunday. i made brownie cake for company/cinnamon rolls were had
Food for today includes:
gizzards
hb egg whites
decaf/miralax
cottage cheese
protein pancakes
making ribs tonight for dinner in IP
exercise- i haven't returned to exercise yet. wanted to go yesterday but company was here still.
Don't freak out - you'll get back to where you were. You can do this!

Good Morning :)
What a trip... we made it to Atlanta but our accommodations (a condo -- dirty, mold, gross) were horrible so we ended up having to switch to a hotel. We were supposed to have a fridge in the condo so I didn't bring any food with me. We don't have a fridge in the hotel, but last night we found a decent grocery store and got a few things.
Today I will be sitting through endless presentations, and tomorrow is our session. Wednesday we are going sightseeing, so I'm looking forward to that :)
QOTD: I haven't had kids yet so I'm going to wait on plastics. Why fix my tummy and then stretch it out again?? lol. If money were no object I would probably get my arms and tummy done. I'm not really bothered by my skin, so I would be okay either way.
Breakfast - maybe hotel breakfast so eggs and bacon?
Snack - protein bar
Lunch - restaurant TBD
Snack - bacon jerky
Dinner - TBD
Snack - protein shake
All water and vits.

HI,
So sorry about your icky condo! I am guessing your conference is downtown, otherwise I could come and get you now!. My house is too far away for you to commute back and forth all week. Looking forward to meeting you and your husband!!

I'm with you on plastic surgery, I'm waiting for after my weight loss to have kids, so if I do have PS, it will be after we're done
Good morning menu Peeps! Overcast day here in Illinois with lots of fog when Lily and I headed out for our 3.6 mile walk. We'll also do another mile at some point this evening. QOTD I will most likely never be able to afford plastics as I'm on disability and hubby is retired. If an unknown rich relative were to die and leave me money I would love to have a tummy tuck. My legs don't look too bad and I can live with bat wings but I'd love to be able to see abs and not have to wear compression camisoles. My face makes me look old too but I can live with it. I just make sure to keep my hair colored and not gray instead--that's cheaper than a face lift. Post op 4 years 11.25 months and weight at 118 today. Accountability was good with only planned food eaten. Here's the food plan for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli turkey and cheese cucumber slices D 31/2 oz burger no bun 1/2 c green beans S 3/4 c cottage cheese with 1 T no sugar added apple butter. Have a great day everyone and make some smart and conscious choices that move you one step closer to your goals!
