What's on your Sunday menu RNYers?
I get that (buying clothes because they are on sale). I've had to keep myself out of certain stores recently where I like the clothes and I know they are on sale.

Mornin' dumplins! So I'm on top of the freakin' world. LOL. me=hoser, eh? The scale, she be a movin' in the right direction! Yeeehaw. To be honest, it's prolly just fluid deciding to vacate the cankles, and not "real fat loss." I have to shout out to myself though for good behavior yesterday, because it's not often I'm the angel. Usually, I'm Miss Behavin'. But we went to help Mr. Fluffy's sis unpack her kitchen yesterday and ended up going to Texas Roadhouse for lunch. Instead of giving in and having a deep fried appetizer and some kind of craptastic Southern deep fried or greasalicious selection, I ate the SMALL 5oz grilled salmon without any sauce--nothin' but a lemon wedge. Then I had salad/no croutons and only half of the bcd and green beans. Last night, since I only had about 80cals left to hit my 800 goal, I chose to have a Synthrax Ice Tea and 2 almonds (IKR--2 almonds--I'm ALL about the numbers) instead of a full dinner. This morning I woke up to a new low threshold--249.2lbs!!! I finally broke through the 250s. I thought I would be stuck there forevs. Yeeeehawwwww and start the parade!!
I feel very self-righteous and virtuous. (snort-as if...).

not much on the agenda today other than coffee with DH. And meeting a friend after lunch (i.e., no restaurant eating) to finish up the updates on our organization's Web site so the updated version can go live tonight or tomorrow. I'll also make a Moroccan stew in my Instant Pot so DH will have lunches for this week...
QOTD: none come to mind, although the "Life is Short" ha**** home this year, after losing my father, his sister (my aunt), and now a good friend from college (last weekend). I'm realizing how much I need to cram in within the next 20 or 30 years - because it'll go fast. Look how fast the last 20 or 30 years went - and the older you get, the faster it seems to go!
2 years 2 months out
B: homemade Greek yogurt with blueberries & raspberries
S: coffee with half & half, protein shake
L: Emiepie's egg salad with lettuce in a FlatOut FoldIt, peach
D: a salad with some turkey slices
another yogurt or protein shake if I can afford the calories (which I can if I stick to my plan!!)
That's how it was for my family too. We lost my mom unexpectedly in on April 12th 2015, my uncle (my dads' closest brother) on October 14th 2015 (almost 6 months exactly) and then on January 31st, we lost a very good family friend (my dad's closest friend) to his battle with cancer. It was a bad year for my family and a horrible one for my dad. As you said though it really makes you stop and think how short life is. A reminder to live your life in the moment and don't dwell on things in the past that can not be changed.

"A reminder to live your life in the moment and don't dwell on things in the past that cannot be changed."
This is advice I am trying to take to heart. I have an upbeat, optimistic nature which is swirled together with a melancholic, regretful side. Trying to be more aware of this, to stop myself when I become upset about the past, to comfort and forgive myself, and to redirect my thoughts. Intervening in my own melancholic thought processes has been very helpful. Life is extremely beautiful, but it isn't easy! Easier, though, and much more fun to embrace the new, and to treasure what we have, rather than to spend precious time hurting abou****er long over the dam.
Hello everyone!
day two in Kansas City, MO. Funny story: we checked into our hotel last night and the gentleman at the front desk was making small talk, asking about or stay, and if we were there for whatever convention was happening, etc. We said no, just getting away for a weekend. He asked if we were getting away from kids. Nope. Just a couple of grown adults going out of town simply because we can. Now, how far away is Legoland?? Haha. We both had a giggle about it.
Brings me to one of my favorite quotes: retting older is required. Growing up is not.
accountability: ate OK yesterday. Didn't feel like stopping anywhere for lunch while we were out thrifting, so had a double cheeseburger at a gas station (no bun), and at night went to a Mexican restaurant and shared some fajitas, sans tortillas. Not the best choices, but not terrible choices, I don't think.
Todays breakfast was sausage links and scrambled eggs at the hotel, I did have a couple chunks of pineapple also.
lunch and dinner are again up in the air, but will share protein forward entrees.
Good afternoon,
Im surprised im not sore today from yesterday's workout.
Accountability stayed on plan
QOTD don't have anything.
B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese
L tuna, cottage cheese and coleslaw
S iced sugar free coffee
D Boston butt pork shoulder and zoodles.
Have a good day
