Uh oh, was the Halo Top my fault?
We love it around these parts! I've converted all my co-workers, my husband, and my brother. But, as I said yesterday I'm on hiatus because it was getting to be a nightly habit!

Good morning weekenders! I had a good day yesterday. I made more pickles, Curried cauliflower and Tarragon Carrot. I have all of my pickles ready now for my presentation, and today I will work on the handout a bit.
Today I am also doing some OT. I try not to do too much OT because then I burn out during the week. But I figured that I'd get a few hours in.
QOTD: I'm not much for quotes I guess.

I wished you lived closer, we'd be besties and you could teach me ALL your pickling magic! I have extreme pickle envy. I SOOOOO want to try making lactofermented pickles but I'm askeered of killin' Mr. Fluffy! I've been cookin' since I was 5, and yet a few things still scare me: canning, pressure cookers, and deep fat frying on the stove top.

You don't have to can lactofermented pickles. They just take time and a good temperature. Check out a book called DIY Pickling. Lots of good fermented veg and fruit that don't require canning.
Also if you want to try experiment with pressure cookers without the scariness, check out an Instant Pot.

Hi All! I had a nice day yesterday. It was a nice relaxing morning, then I rallied and got a lot done to face the week.
Today is a perfect weather day, so we are hoping to get out and go for a nice long walk in the woods and then end up at a museum. I also have a little work to do, so I am going to try to tackle that, now.
QOTD: I heard this on on Oprah a long time ago, and it really struck me as true.
Accountability: Good day. Followed everything to a T, but ended up going out for coffee for an early birthday celebration and had coffee and spilt a brownie. Then I had 2 bites of a leftover doughnut in the house last night :(
