I'm feeling the same with sunflower seeds. They need to disappear for a little while!

Good morning weekenders! I had hoped to sleep in, but it just didn't happen. So I'm up and going to go for a walk since it isn't as hot.

QOTD: The two times that we have visited my Mom since surgery, she got quite worried about what I would eat. I tried to help her through it, but she was in a bit of a dither. Other than that I'm the chief planner, so no one else seems particularly concerned. Sorry that your lunch is causing so much stress.

Menu:

Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 oz ham

Snack: Grape protein shake

Lunch: turkey breast

Snack: 2 oz smoked salmon

Dinner: filet mignon, Brussels sprouts

Exercise: long walk

Ugh- just typed out a reply that got eaten.. grrr. Waiting out rain to go run currently. TodAy I'm gonna replace a few pots. I want a copper core frying pan, non-stick skillet and ceramic/enamel Dutch oven. I'm prepared to part with some decent $ for quality pans. My sister is coming over later too.

Accountability: had a planned donut yesterday and non-planned slice of pizza. Going to stay on plan today- I've got 4 # of vacation weight holding on still.

Qotd: my parents and one sister get anxious over how I eat sometimes. They feel a meal isn't complete without bread, rice or pasta.

197.7 today, 27 months out

m1: 1/2c egg beaters, 3oz ham

m2: banana, protein bar

m3: 3.5oz deli chicken/cheese stick

m4: ?? Depends on what my sister and I get into.

Oh wow. Nothing and I do mean NOTHING speaks to my heart like kitchen shopping. It might be my love language. And remember, I'm cheap--so it's almost a mutually exclusive situation. In fact, most of my people live at Sur la Table. hehe. Have fun with it today. I adore my enamelled cast iron dutch ovens--even though they're just the store brand knockoffs. I have one of the 3quarts (LURVE), a 5 1/2quart (use all the time), and an 8-ish quart (use for big things). Wish I could afford the LeCrueset brand, but oh well. They've actually held up very well over time and I've abused them craptastically.

I just got a copper frying pan and it really is as good as advertised. Cooks very evenly and cleans up burnt things with a wipe.

I have an enameled (Le Creuset )cast iron Dutch Oven. I am in love with it! You won't regret the investment!

I love them (Le Creuset) too...I received a large orange red one as a wedding gift (48yrs ago) and then found 2 medium sized ones with lids at goodwill...one blue, one white...they do not look like they've ever been used! So now I've got red, white and blue pans.....does that mean I have to stand the whole time they are in the oven together!?

I have so been wanting a La Creuset Dutch oven, in fact a few in various sizes! As well as various other Le Creuset items! I love their Cherry color and also the green, Palm. But I am barely eating now and usually only have to feed myself, so I guess I can wait a bit longer! I do have a 10-year old set of All Clad pots and pans which have held up beautifully, though! It's a little odd that I love such high end kitchen stuff, given the fact that I've never really been that into cooking! Yet I do!
