What's on your menu today (Photo Friday) RNYers?
Morning Menu Family Happy Friday.. Today is my Company Picnic which is cool but it is a two hour drive away. Yuck! At least I am only required to stay until about 1 then I can leave on the way home we are going to stop at the only Trader Joe's in VT I am very excited bringing the cooler so I can fill it up!
QOTD: Locally it is Dunkin because it is all that we have but when I go to DC to see my daughter the choices are endless but I have to go with her coffee shop Bourbon Coffee I love the ice tea there. When we are in DC we go at least three or four times a day and I go into caffeine over load.
Food for the day:
B: Bacon
L: steak at the company picnic my company goes all out for meat they have ordered rib eyes, strip steaks and lots of other proteins then all the other branch offices have to bring items my office got dessert. I am bringing watermelon.
D: Who knows...
SO my pictures both were taken last Sunday night at the races. One is me and my friend from high school we used to have so much fun going to the races four sometimes five nights a week. It was so nice catching up with her. The other picture is Tony Stewart the former NASCAR driver I was so excited to go see race.

Happy Friday! I just reported your post to the moderator. Good times! Uggh! I'm an unbelievable idiot! For some reason, my chemo addled brain equates the button RIGHT next to the like button as the REPLY button. Cuz, come on...it's only forkin' logical! Right? Am I right?
Anyway, serry. And I actually wrote a very thoughtful reply to you about Mr. Fluffy and I going into a decline following Smoke's retirement from NASCAR. :( (Even though we like Kevin just fine...) NASCAR isn't the same. It's all grey. The whole world it is grey. LOL. It's about that bad! How cool that you go to the track so often and that you also get to see Tony. I heart that you are "cool" about it!! Love your piccy with the bestie!! You look young and happy! Hugs, and serry again!
I was a fan of the #3 car and think that smoke was as close a resemblance for Dale Sr as could be. He does alot for people that no one hears about and is a true racer. I have a tatoo of the #3 with an angle wing on top of it...will have to share a pic someday
The grey one is Eliot and the little bugger behind him is Simon aka "Little Boy" who we brought into the US from Ecuador (Don't tell Trump!) Absent from the photo is Timmy with his luxurious black coat.
We adopted Eliot right after me and my wife got married 15 years ago when he was 4. Like many geriatric cats, Eliot's kidneys were giving out and it was 2 weeks ago today that I had to make the call that all pet owners dread. Luckily we have a vet that makes house calls and Eliot passed peacefully in his favorite spot surrounded by love. I cried like a baby. Even just writing this now I well up.
I had a visit to my surgeon and nutritionist this week and they were both very pleased with my progress. Prior to surgery I read that I could expect to lose 75-80% of my excess weight total but I've already done that at 4.5 months. I do plan on taking full advantage of my remaining months of weight loss to get myself in position for the inevitable rebound north. My surgeon said that I haven't lost any hair by now that I'd likely not lose hair in the future and I sure hope he's right. Nutritionist said I should start weight training and that's the new exercise goal. I've been walking my butt off since surgery day ( I even walked a mile IN the hospital) but the body needs to be challenged and adding a bit of muscle will definitely help me in the long run.
QOTD: I love Dunkin Donuts. Coffee roll/bow tie/glazed were always my favorite and I absolutely love the taste of their coffee. Lotsa cream, lotsa sugar. I'll drink Starbucks but I hate em. Here in NYC they're just overrun with hipsters who think it's a library. Don't get me started !
