Sorry to hear about your kitty. We had to take ours 14 y/o kitty to emergency vet this past Saturday night for the same type of thing. She had a UTI and is on three meds but seems to be healing. She isn't a fan of the meds but she is getting better about taking them. Here is a pic of her at the vet.

Your picture of your kitty at the vet is so cute, Kelly. Look at those eyes. She seems to be looking at you like, "What am I doing here? Take me home!"

I hate to tell you but cats purr when happy or when they are in pain - discomfort.

Hope it is nothing really serious.

I was going to say that as well... purring does not necessarily mean a happy cat, unfortunately :(

Hi everyone,

Happy Friday! I went to the movies last night to see Detroit (since I am from there, I wanted to support it on opening night. It was a story that deserves to be told but was VERY tough). I had popcorn (planned) with the intent of having dinner afterwards. Well I got super bloated and did NOT feel good from just having popcorn so I came home and went to bed and slept 9 hours soundly. It felt great.

This weekend my BF and his kids and I are doing a tour of the White House! I have lived in or around DC for about 10 years and have never been inside. There is a certain (ahem) someone I hope to not see, but I think it's great that we got approved for the tour.

Time since surgery: 3 years, 8 months

B: Kelly's egg salad!!! I am obsessed! Mashed up hard-boiled eggs, 2% milk fat cottage cheese, a bit of chopped pickle, and a ton of Trader Joe's Everything But The Bagel sesame seasoning blend. SO good. I don't miss the mayo at all.

L: Honey baked turkey deli slices, munster cheese, pepper jack cheese, cucumbers, sugar snap peas - all in a bowl like a salad, but with no lettuce

D: Taco night! So ground turkey, mexican cheese, avocado

E: Now that I have an elliptical in my basement, I have no excuse to be a lazy butt. I have been using it almost every day. Finally feeling in control of my life choices!

V: Patches will go on after my workout and shower

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Way to go with the elliptical. I never have gotten the hang of using it.
