DEXA SCAN!!!
So this morning I decided to call the local place in town that does the DEXA scan, specifically for the complete body composition...
They take my HSA card, so I can use that and not have any money out of pocket (ok, it's MY money, but feels like it's more free this way )
They have an appointment TODAY at 11am. (I wasn't expecting such a quick appointment!)
I'm getting it done!
I really think it'll help me in determining if I'm 'good' with the weight I am, or if I indeed do have more weight to lose.
I'll be relying on those that have had this, to help me understand the results. They will send me home with everything and I"ll be posting them here. Sign up now to volunteer to help me read all of this
It's so hard when I still feel like maybe another 5-10 pounds is better, versus hearing my husband tell me I'm all skin and bones (I really don't think I am)... so this will be the scientific way to really know!
I'm so excited!!!!!!!

Way cool!!!! I am very interested, in seeing your results!
As far as being "skin and bones", it could be that your body hasn't really "settled in", fully, yet...especially your face. A lot of people will look "drawn" the first year or two, even OLDER, then things calm down, as the weight redistributes itself

I think he's just not used to feeling my bones... I like feeling my bones... sometimes I catch myself just 'feeling myself up' to feel my bones
Wait... is that weird? If it is, I TOTALLY don't do it... Nope.

I'm so glad that you mentioned that. As I continue to lose weight I notice that I "feel" different, not just emotionally, but physically. Like when I bathe, I feel bone and muscle, not just fat. It weirds me out sometimes!

I was laying in bed last night, on my side, and kinda stroking my outer thigh because... wait... what??? yeah... that's my effing FEMUR I'm feeling!!!!!!!! And the other day in the elevator I leaned against the wall and couldn't figure out how my purse strap got over the point of my shoulder, it wasn't a strap, I was pressing against the top of my shoulder bone to wall. SO WEIRD! As an extrovert its so hard not to announce these things to an elevator full of strangers.

I still find myself doing it...to MYSELF, I mean !!! The first time I felt a rib bone I thought it was a tumor...seriously...The first time I found my butt bone was when I whacked it in the bathtub... If not for all my empty skin you could SEE my hip bones, thru my clothes--how cool would THAT be ????????
We are just a forum full of felt up weirdoes...
