What's on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?

When I was in the losing phase, I would load my menu into MFP the night before! That made me organize my packed lunch, think about my menu, and plan. Also, if it came out with calories or carbs too high, or protein too low, I could mix it around and be like "ugh I guess I can't have my Skinny Pop 100 calorie bag for a snack". It was sooooo helpful. Occasionally it would change on the fly but mostly it stayed the same. I'm definitely less rigid now, and I know some people hate the feeling of tracking every morsel in MFP, but I was such a rule follower until goal that it worked for me :)

Trader Joe's has to get to Alaska!!! It's the greatest store ever. I am sadly not that close to one but I find an excuse to go every few weeks or so :)

I know! We want one so bad... LOL I have the local news on in the background right now and they LITERALLY just started talking about Trader Joe's as I began typing this response hahaha. What are the odds?! Hopefully we get one someday. We're the last to get everything since we're so far away. We just got a victoria's secret earlier this year (that's how far behind we are lol)

Way to go on the turn around!!!

I'm actually getting a dog because A. Dogs are awesome and B. Motivation for continuing my new ramped up active lifestyle! The puppy is due any day and I'll be bringing him home in early October :)

YES! Congratulations on your new addition. That's so exciting! What kind of dog are you getting? They definitely keep the motivation levels up for sure

"Epagneul Breton" or basically a Brittney, from the French line which is far less hyper and comes in a wider variety of colors (I'm getting a black and tan dog with white markings). I picked the breed because I love dogs from the sporting group, I wanted a dog that can run with me, one that can handle the moderate to cold winters here in Ohio, and one that can be happy alone all day in an apt. They end up around 35 lbs. so the size won't freak out my landlord.

Can you tell I'm excited?

Here's a pic of a puppy from a previous litter...

I love my dogs, but they are old ladies now so a slow stroll when it is cool in the evenings is about all they can do! But Duchess (Beagle) used to run with me when she was 1-2 years old (and I was younger and relatively thin at the time). She LOVED to run with me (and I loved her company too). I had a belt that I could connect her leash to so I didn't have to hold it. Boy I miss those days!

4 pounds down is great! Go You!!!

I ADORE my patches!!! I pray they continue to keep my levels up and in a good range, because I'll really stomp, kick, and whine if I have to try to keep up with regular vitamins again.

Pammieanne, you and me both! I will be having a little kid fit if I have to give up my patches. They're so awesome and they make getting my daily vits way easier. If I end up having to double up on patches to avoid going back to toting vitamins around with me everywhere then I will. I'll put patches on every limb if needed hahahaha.

I stayed under 800 until maintenance (strove for 600-800 daily).
