What's on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Good morning menu fam! Hope you're having a great Thursday!
We had more rain last night, and it's supposed to rain again today and tomorrow. Would really love to see some sun!
QOTD: What healthy habit has become easy for you? There are some things that I have to always think about- like vitamins. I have reminders on my phone to put the patches on. I enjoy my workouts but sometimes I really have to push myself to press my play. (I do at home workouts). But logging my food has become 2nd nature and I'm very proud of my 199 day streak on MFP. I'm working hard to build habits now to help me for the long haul.
Accontability: I sswapped out a couple of things but stayed on plan.
Menu:
B: Protein Shake
L: Turkey Sausage
S: Greek yogurt with berries
D: Not sure yet.
E: Moving on to day 5 of Shift Shop
I really enjoyed all the answers yesterday. I'm looking forward to our trip to Pa in November for Thanksgiving and of course Black Friday shopping. Have a great day everyone.

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
Morning!
I hear there is weather heading our way too. We had some storms yesterday. I'm ok as long as the sun comes back for the weekend!
qotd: You know, the low carb thing. I don't struggle with it the way I would have expected to. On occasion, I miss the convenience factor of just making a sandwich. But that's really it, at this point. (Ask me again when winter comfort foods are back on the menu though ahah)
I've always drank a lot of water. Vitamins, I need reminders for. Exercise is abysmal since I went back to work, but I've been hitting crazy number of steps with this move, so at least there's that?
accountability: I'm not eating enough during the day. So I end up having dinner, then another evening snack. Things should start to level off at work, but I need to get back to regular eating patterns.
Menu:
B: coffee and premier protein
L: leftover shrimp
D: tbd
S: skyr and bran buds
Have a good one!

Good morning! Sorry you have to deal with rain - it can be depressing when there are several days in a row of it. Here in the northeast US, it is warm and humid with some clouds, so it is decent summer weather.
QOTD: My best new habits are: Drinking > 64 oz of water a day (I used to intentionally minimize the amount I drank to avoid bathroom trips, but apparently my body has gotten used to the volume); Weighing myself daily; Tracking everything I eat; Adusting what I eat based on my weight; Minimizing bad carbs.
16 months post-op, in maintenance for 8 months.
B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese
L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese
D: 1/2 leftover cheeseburger
S: protein bar probably

I forgot about weighing myself daily... but that's another big one that I do, not only out of habit now, but also for the accountability.
If I ever stop weighing daily, then I know I'll go down a bad road...

Yeah - I didn't do this while losing but find it critical in maintenance (where you might be?). It keeps me accountable and in a way does a reset in the morning every day (in other words if I screwed up the day before, here I am now so either there was no permanent damage or I need to eat less today - either way it keeps me from going on a binge).

I just wish my body reacted the next day when I know I've pushed it the day before... for me, it takes a couple of days before the scale catches up... and even worse... it takes several days for it to be nice again once I get back into the groove. That part stinks! LOL
As far as maintenance? I think after my scan today, I'd like to shoot for a few more pounds... under 10... maybe 5-7? I'm not quite as confused as I was, but I'm still struggling to find that sweet number I can love (that range anyway).

I know others have said they have that delay too. It takes a few days for mine to come back down when I cut the calories, but I guess I'm lucky that I get pretty quick feedback.

Good morning :)
Today I have a few last minute things to pack and prep for my trip. I'm going to Atlanta -- any recommendations for shopping or sightseeing there (I'm right downtown)? First stop will be to find a grocery store.
Tonight is my friends wedding rehearsal dinner. Hopefully the rain won't be as bad as forecasted for this area. The wedding is tomorrow so my day will be jam packed with setup and getting ready :) I can't wait!!
QOTD: I have logged in MFP for a long streak as well. Good or bad I log every bite. I have a water reminder app and a pill reminder app, so that helps me stay on track of water and vits. Now I wish I would get out and exercise more. The first year was great -- I had a gym membership and did lots of activities. I would like to get back into some kind of routine with that.
Breakfast - protein shake
Snack - turkey sausage
Lunch - chicken and broccoli
Snack - pepperette and pickles
Dinner - restaurant tbd
Snack - protein shake if needed
All water and vits.
The coke museum is kind fun, I guess... although now that I wouldn't be wanting to taste 50+ different sodas, it might not be as much fun.
Little Five Points is a great fun place to go check out the shops, and then have a (bunless) burger at the Vortex.
It's been almost 8 years since I've lived in the Atlanta area, so I'm sure some things have changed... but I think both of those places are still there and thriving!
