What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Good morning :)
I'm supposed to go for a walk and to play soccer tonight but they are calling for thunderstorms, so we will see what happens. I have a ton of things to do to get ready for my work trip so I'm okay if I get to stay home ;)
QOTD: I love to shop. Thankfully while I was losing I got into thrift shopping. It's good and bad now because I will go into a regular store and just about die at the prices they are charging. But it's bad because then I don't want to spend the money when I actually need something lol. I had to buy new shoes for my friend's wedding and a lot of stores were charging over $100 for sandals. Insane.
Breakfast - protein shake
Snack - turkey sausage
Lunch - leftovers and chicken
Snack - pepperette
Dinner - unknown - depends on soccer
Snack - protein shake
All water and vits.
I find the best deals on shoes from eBay - you just have to be patient ;)

Morning peeps! Hommmmpdayyyyy! God, I heart Wednesdays! I just finished scheduling the EGD for WLS. So far I'm a good girl scout and will have almost everything checked off the to-do list in time for my next visit with the surgeon. Oooorah!
QOTD: So, you've heard of the movie, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, right? Well, I happen to own 2 pairs of magic pants that would rival those jeans! Ha. True story. These pants fit me (barely), at my highest 325lbs, and fit me at my recent low of 218lbs (during treatment). Now, I'm not saying I looked good in them at any time, but they've done the job of keepin my hiney from hangin' out in the breeze. So I have yet to go shoppin' from A to Z, but my Magic 8 Ball says, "It is likely," when asked if I will ever need new pants that may or may not have magic properties. When I do, I know my parsimonious little heart will lead me towards salvation...as in, the army thereof, or some equally shoptastic mecca of thrift.
Ok, well have a good one, y'all. I gotta go try to earn a bean. "Payce!" (peace)

Good morning!
qotd: I've always been a bargain shopper, I grew up very poor and my clothes came from Goodwill all through my childhood. Now I can afford new clothes, but it hurts my soul sometimes when I buy a pair of jeans knowing that money spend could be someone's electric bill, or grocery money. But still being a size 22, sometimes I have to buy clothes new because other size 22 women aren't giving their clothes up to the thrift stores I frequent! Haha. Besides thrift stores, I shop at Kohl's, Lane Bryant, and Torrid
breakfast: 2 eggs and 1/4 C cottage cheese scrambled
lunch: leftover steak (2oz) and yellow squash
Dinner: probably just hamburger patties with cheese.
Snack: I threw a Greek L&F in the freezer. I've never done this. Will it be like ice cream? We'll see after dinner tonight.
Good morning Teena and menu family!
Uhg, I waded into the muck on another thread and in reminiscing about my life on my farm (I've living off the farm for almost two years) managed to totally gross myself out thinking about my current artificial diet. I still get fresh eggs, some chicken and a little fruit from the farm but when I was living there I'd been getting almost all of my food from the farm and only supplementing with store bought herbs, flours, and fish. Last night when I stopped at the grocery store on my way home I spent about forty minutes looking for a bottled high protein beverage without added sugar and with minimal chemicals. This morning I went ahead and drank my can of protein like a good WLS patient.
Accountability: For the past twenty odd years I've been hosting a 'Thursday Night Dinner' or "TND" at the farm I shared with my (now estranged) husband. When I moved out about 18 months ago, we kept the dinner at the farm on Thursdays as always (my husband likes people, including myself, in small doses). Now that I work in Columbus (2.5 hrs away) I still go up most Thursdays and work remote on Friday. Over the years several of our guests have also relocated to Columbus Ohio. Several of them also make the trek up to the farm on Thursday nights, then drive the 2.5 hours back to Columbus for work on Friday. The past few weeks we've been gathering for dinner down here on Tuesday nights, conveniently also a T day so now Tuesdays are "CbusTND". What does this have to do with Accountability? Now I have built two nights into my week where staying on track is extra challenging due to social queues, exposure to poor choices, and general disordered food issues. Last night I made butter chicken, and I'd budgeted a 3.5 oz glass of wine and a cup of the curry. I ended up drinking a hard cider instead of the wine (twice the calories), I had a 1/4 piece of naan, and partook in the appetizer (hummus and baby carrots). Of course I couldn't get in a cup of the chicken after all those changes so I ended up only getting 1/3 cup. This bumped my total calories up to 940, a 220 increase over my plan, and upped my carbs to 56, an increase of about 30. YIKES!
QOTD: I'm a HUGE fan of thrift stores, and as I'm in the weight loss stage it's about my only option as my size seems to be shifting by the week! For work attire I've been using the online store,ThredUp a ton lately, I'm a big fan of their clearance racks! I'm currently living in three locations so the local GoodWill store is often my go to when I realize I've forgotten to pack the right outfit for what ever occasion.
