Good morning!

Today is going to be a weird day. I woke up to a stressed out and unhappy husband (not angry, just unhappy or sad maybe). Every time this happens I feel like I carry his sadness with me - it's so heavy and it physically affects me. Like I can feel it in my belly toward the bottom of my ribcage. I know that sounds like crazy people talk, believe me, I know. It's hard to put into words but basically now I feel sad and overwhelmed and I've got my own emotions going on already to begin with haha. Gonna have to figure out a way to get out of this funk!

QOTD: Our summer has been so crummy! We've only had a handful of truly nice days and it seems like they're always weekdays when we're all working indoors. We've had at least two decent weekends though so I should at least be grateful for that. It's hard though because 6 months of the year here are winter and dark skies and then the rest of the year is breakup or frosty fall and if we're lucky then maybe a two-three month period of decent weather. I live for summer because I feel like I can come out of hibernation then. I can't stand being cold (worst Alaskan ever right here lol) and summertime usually makes living here worth it. this year is not quite the same but I'm trying to take advantage of the nice days we do have when I'm not working.

Accountability: Stayed on track pretty well yesterday. I did stray midday and have a tiny cup of cheddar broccoli soup but other than that I did really well

B: vanilla pp

L: turkey roll up with a laughing cow cheese wedge

D: yet another 1/2 turkey patty (might skip the egg this time. Too much food)

S: greek light and fit maybe

V; patches

E; taking the dogs out

Hope everyone is having a good day so far!

Hi Everyone,

Rain, Rain, Rain and some more rain... So I made an awesome discovery at the supermarket yesterday:

Cabot sharp cheddar 75% FF: 60 calories and 9 grams of protein per ounce. I shredded it and nursed 3/4 of an ounce yesterday to see how tummy would handle it. Since it is a soft food and into 4th week, I figured I could incorporate 2 ounces in my diet somehow either melted on beans or meat to up my protein so I dont have to drink a second shake every day.

Sipping on an Isopure 25 banana shake and still nursing coffee 25 grams protein 0 carbs 110 calories

Probably some tilapia 2 oz for lunch 15 grams protein 75 calories

Snack : Cottage cheese 75 calories 8 grams protein

Dinner: Pureed beef stew meat with lf gravy 12 grams protein 120 calories

Snack: Maybe tuna? 2oz plus a teaspoon of lf mayo 12 grams protein 100 calories

2 oz of shredded cabot mixed in to my food? 18 grams protein 120 calories

600 calories 90 grams protein and less than 10 carb grams

64 ounces of water or crystal lite

Good morning Teena, Librarian, and our lovely menu family!

QOTD T- It's been warm and soggy here in Central Ohio, with lots of extra blood sucking insects thanks to our overly mild winter :( But as it's Ohio, you only need to wait an hour or two for the weather to change up!

QOTD L- I have the powdered Nectar 'Roadside Lemonade' here in the office and I really like it! I usually mix it with water, but it also works great in plain yogurt and cottage cheese. I buy a 12 pk of 12 oz. cans of Pure Protein Frosty Chocolate Shake from Amazon (subscription so I get a 12pk every two weeks). I like these cans for post workout recovery drinks and it's the only chocolate RTD I actually enjoy. Generally I find all the flavored protein WAY (or should I say WHEY) too SWEET!!!

Accountability: I skipped dinner to work out, and only had my recovery RTD protein shake. That resulted in Total Calories: 330, Protein: 64, Carbs: 13.

Yesterday was weird. I started my day early to see a prospective rental at 7am, so I ate my yogurt at the office, then I had a package of tuna for a late lunch after looking at another rental during lunch. The lunch time trip resulted in a very deep blister on my heel (new shoes) and as a side note OMG LIQUID BANDAGE ON AN OPEN BLISTER IS EFFING PAINFUL!!!!!! After work, liquid bandage and regular bandage in place, I walked to a third rental, then back to my office. At this point I had about 9000 steps in for the day. I drove to the fancy rec center where I just got a membership (work pays us back the cost of membership if we go twice a week!!!). I swam laps using a snorkel because I just can't suck in enough air to keep going otherwise, but even with this cheat, I was still stopping at the end of each length and panting... So I gave up after 15 minutes, enjoyed 15 minutes in the sauna, showered, changed into running shorts and a tee and went for a walk then 2.5 mile slow run on the outdoor nature walk trac****il dark. After my cool down walk I was over 20K steps :) When I got home I sat in my car while my phone charged and enjoyed the AC, then went inside, rinsed off in the shower, drank my RTD shake and fell into bed. I was hurting from my workout and I didn't get to sleep for a few hours which sucks because if I'd KNOWN I would be awake, I would have caught up on Game of Thrones!

4 mo. post RNY/ 163lbs/ Weight-loss stage

B- Pure Protein Frosty chocolate shake

MS- half a banana

L- Fit & Light Danon cherry yogurt

AS- nothing counted, but if I feel weak after my bike ride home I'll drink another 170 calories in a RTD protein shake...

D- Indian style butter chicken, 1 3.5 oz. pour of red wine

ES- SF jello

Total Calories: 782, Protein: 86, Carbs: 40, Sugar: 22, Fat: 24

Exercise: I rode my bike to work, and I'm planning on riding it back home again although after last nights exercise extravaganza... I might just catch the bus home! My NUT thinks that my general fatigue is cause by not providing my body with the level of nutrition needed for my workouts, so if I still feel like crap when I get home, I'll drink a protein shake while I make dinner.

Good morning all~ Tonight I am going to see my dad, tomorrow is my son's b-day and that is all I know, haha.

QOTD1-It's been a strange summer, or year for that matter....I don't have regular summer things anymore as I live in CA and don't have young children. I do get to the beach a lot more and try to spend more time out doors, but with everything that has been going on in my life...it's just different this year and it's all I can do to get through it right now to get to better days....

QOTD2-I burned out on protein shakes after a month post op - still can't stomach the thought of one.

Accountability - was insatiable yesterday... I ate 4 meals and a snack, so not like me. All protein/plan foods, but now I am bloated and up 2 pounds today, lovely.

8mo post op - 186 -boo

b-coffee w/heavy cream and splenda, SB skinny latte w/extra shot

l-chicken salad

d-meatballs w/a little gravy

e-none today

v/l- on track

Have a good day all~

I hope you're ok after the storm!

Qotd: our weather was hot and muggy, and we're experiencing below average rainfall, meaning it's not quite a drought YET but could get there. We had a rainy day last week and since then, our humidity has been down, which is great! I'd love a big storm though, our grass is turning brown.

Breakfast: imitation crab legs. Weird choice, I know. Skinny latte from Scooters

Lunch: lemon dill tuna packet, on lettuce leaves.

snack: Greek L&F

dinner: might grill steaks, my aunt is stopping by. We also might go out if my cousin and her group joins us, since we don't have a big enough house/seating for everyone. We live in a matchbox size house!

back to work! I'll be back to read everyone's mind it's later. Busy day at work!

So, not that I want to burst your bubble... and maybe you're OK with it... but I used to love that imitation crab meat... until I found it it's pretty high in carbs!

I don't understand it because I had always thought it was made with fish, but I guess it's the starch they use to hold it all together.

Again, no judging or anything... just wanted someone else to be as heartbroken as I was when I learned that

Lol yeah I know they have more carbs than you'd think! So sad. I'm still allowing myself a fair amount of carbs since I'm on diabetes meds and my blood sugar gets too low otherwise. My doctor has already reduced my meds, but will wait until I start my liquid pre-op diet to take me off completely. Luckily the crab legs are an occasional thing and not part of my regular grocery shopping regime :P I won't rely on them as a protein source post-op.

Hi everyone,

Thank you sooo much for all of your support and kind words about having to say goodbye to my dog Bella! You guys are the best!

QOTD: My summer has been good and bad. Since we've had some really nice days I've really enjoyed using my smokers and a lot of grilling. Outdoor cooking is my passion. The bad was having to see my dogs health decline and then having to say goodbye to her.

Accountability stayed on plan yesterday 100% but did not enough.

B: 2eggs, turkey breakfast sausage, 1/2 slice of cheese

L: 3oz turkey breast

D:2oz flat iron steak, 2oz hot italian sausage, 2 forkfuls broccoli rabe

S: 1 1/2 oz turkey breast, 1/2oz proscuitto di parma

Cals:682, Carbs:7, Protein:89

Enjoy the rest of your day everybody!
