STAY OFF THE SCALE FOR AT LEAST 2 WEEKS. Yes, this is me shouting at you. You were just pumped with all kinds of gross gasses, and chemicals and you will bloat and gain initially.

Move as much as possible to get all that gas out and you will want to make sure you are pooping. Also don't worry about the fat in your diet. Keep to your plan and you will lose.

Exactly what everyone else has said. Welcome to the losers bench! I just wanted add that there is a search feature on the boards. It really helps to search and see what back posts are there regarding issues you will have. You can practice by doing a search on stalls - that will probably be the next big question you will have :)

Again, congratulations!

Hi Ava... and welcome!

Great advice from everyone here. I came home 4 pounds heavier than I went in, I have little burps all the time, and I suffered from horrible constipation in the beginning. I took miralax for awhile and then a stool softener for another few weeks and I haven't taken anything for the last week or so.

In time you will see a lot of the little annoyances go away and get into a nice routine and so many of the things that seem to worry you now will be a distant memory. People told me that too a month ago and I didn't think it would happen, but it did.

Relax and heal and settle in for the ride. Best of luck to you.

P.S. I found the search feature to be wonderful when I had specific questions. There are so many people who have had the same experiences. For the first couple weeks, I spent more time than I want to admit on these pages reading about what people experienced so I would know if what I was feeling was normal.
