What's on your menu (Photo Friday) RNYers?
Thank you for encouraging me to stay on this board and thread for the duration of my pregnancy. I will keep a little disclaimer in my menu so that no new person will take my menu as something appropriate, especially in the first trimester when I am on "survival mode". As the queeze passes, I hope to keep my good habits up and that includes my lifeline here!
QOTD- my screen name is my middle name. When I first started coming here, I was hoping to find info about my local clinic, but I was worried about being recognized by anyone because I hadn't gone public with my surgery decision. My first name is Melanie. :)
photo today is of my surprise rooster. I got 14 chicks in May, they were supposed to all be hens. Isn't he pretty though? We also have a dog and three elderly cats.
Accountability- morning sickness started yesterday. Not good. Food was mostly pretzels, lemon water, Popsicles, ginger tea. Just gonna let these things ride for the next few weeks.
Menu today- 11 months post op and 5 weeks pregnant-
B- I had a handful of pretzels and a baby bell.
S- I don't usually do snacks but I have read this can help the nausea so I am going to experiment with several mini meals today and see if it helps. Yogurt here.
L- tuna salad
s- almonds, baby bell
D- salmon of some sort
S- cottage cheese
ginger tea, lemon water as needed. I am going to try to stay away from more pretzels.

He's a beautiful rooster! As long as you're allowed, I think it's nice to have one rooster! They keep the flock together, and I've read that the fertilized eggs have more vitamins and can be higher in protein... don't hold me to that, but I'm hoping it's true!
Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! Hang in there, that morning sickness will pass. Unfortunately for me, the only way I felt OK was when I had something in my stomache ALL THE TIME with my first child... I swear the people in our cafe at work knew me like a family member... I gaine 45 pounds with that child! Ugh, and after she was born, I never lost that weight until after WLS... she's going to be 18 soon... You will have your tool, and right now, going off plan a little, especially at the beginning is totally understandable!

My two photos are of my two cats the top one is Stella she is the baby of the family and the second photo is of my daughter Emily and our older cat Serena who is almost 13 years old. Serena has to jump on your back the minute you walk in the door to make sure you know she's there and needs to be fed. Stella is just starting to get into the cuddly stage but only when she feels like it at 4 in the morning. But we love both of them very much....
