Regular Plateaus How can I overcome so many?
Regular plateaus are normal. You're not going to change that. Your body needs time to catch up, rearrange things, and figure things out.
You say you are eating 'the size of a business card'... but that doesn't tell me how much you are eating. Weigh your foods. That 'business card could be 3" thick and weight out at 8 ounces easy!
Go for 3 ounces of dense pure protein. Steak, chicken, fish... Then add in your non-starchy vegetables.
I eat cheese, cottage cheese, and all things cheese related, along with my dense protein. When I was in the losing stage I did not eat anything starchy, or carby, as that makes me retain water and crave more of the evil beasts.
If you continue to eat (truly) 600 calories (not estimated by 'looking' at the food, but rather by weighing), you will continue to lose weight.
With your starting weight you probably won't hit goal at 12 months (a healthy BMI for your height), but you should continue losing into your second year, and there are some here that have started off near where you were, and have made it down to a healthy BMI
It's not an easy road. It's hard. To anyone that tells you to eat more because you are going into starvation mode... show them pictures of Holocaust survivors and ask them how that is possible, because it isn't. Starvation mode isn't real.
There are things affectionately referred to around here as BLT's (and they aren't bacon, lettuce, tomato)... Bites, Licks, and Tastes... You have to be honest with yourself, and use something like MFP (My Fitness Pal) and record every meal, BY WEIGHT, every bite, taste, and lick as well. (and believe you me, this is hard to admit even to yourself... OK... OK... it's hard for ME to admit!! LOL)
It sounds like you are kind of staying away from carbs, but after you start using some tracking tool, see if you can keep your carbs under 40g/day.
And join us on the daily menu thread and start posting your daily menu. It helps with accountability, and ideas for menu plans.
Hang in there!

I had surgery in September last year. At my last Dr visit I was informed I was behind by about 20% that was 3 months ago and I am still not losing weight like everything says I should. I joined a support group on facebook back when I had surgery and I can't seem to get any help with this other than "you're losing based on what your body says." So I've joined the site and thought maybe I could get some advice here.
Here's the deal. I exercise 4-7 days a week. I walk 3 miles a day and swim for at least an hour 2-5 days a week. I eat an average of 600 calories a day. I am not allowed protein shakes (Dr discourages the use of liquid calories including protein shakes) I lose maybe 3-5 lbs a week. No more, it hasn't been more than that since about 2 months after surgery. I don't eat carbs often, an average meal is a business card sized piece of meat and 2 tbs of veggies, breakfast might be an egg and half a piece of whole grain bread. So, I am on my calorie/food schedule. What I noticed the last couple of months is the week before and during my period I lose nothing. I gain 5lbs-ish because water retention then I lose that and if it's a good month I lose 1-2lbs afterward. So I spend half the month with no weight loss.
I've been told by that same FB support group that I am not eating enough, my surgeons office said I was doing well at 600 calories a day, as long as it's below 1k they don't seem to care. I am now nearly at the year mark and already losing slower than some people at the 18 month mark.
What I am wondering is, has anyone else had this issue, and/or would you recommend I seeing a nutritionist/dietitian or possibly seeing a different surgeon's office. Mine seems to go through the lab work, ask what I am eating, then telling me I am not at goal and asks me what I am doing. There has been no suggestions only that I am doing as I am supposed to and basically shrugging at why I am not losing weight.
I would throw this diet plan in the trash.
Icest 6 times a day, meat , eggs, full fat milk, yogurt and cheese. The lowest amount of carbs possible and those coming from dairy and non carbs vegetables.
I lost 1-2# a week for my entire losing phase, ending up losing and maintaining the loss of 122#, for seven
years, with no exercise.
all the bread and many other carbs shown on your plan are killing your weight loss. I would cut them out entirely.
Pre-op here, so clearly not an expert, but my husband is 2 months out and his surgeon encourages high protein, low-carb protein drink suppliments, especially if he's having trouble keeping food down, or not feeling hungry enough to eat. Anything to get his 80-100g of protein. My opinion is to go rogue and include more protein.
